shinotumblr is my favorite part of tumblr.

you know that feeling when you spend all day reading a fic that you forget what time and day it is and all that exists is those characters and that world, and then you finish and you’re stuck in the reading equivalent of that, like, post-movie haze you get when you walk out of the theater and you feel like you’re floating a little and trying to hang onto the after-image of all the emotions that you got to feel during it? and you can’t bring yourself to close out of the page and it’s too raw to start re-reading immediately, it’s the kind of fic that needs to simmer in your soul for a little while, and you simultaneously want to keep it to yourself forever but also scream about it to the whole world. so you lay there and stare at the ceiling for a little bit and try not to lose the feeling of being absolutely wrecked by someone else’s words and wonder if the person who wrote it knows that there’s someone out there who can’t breathe because their writing filled up the space inside their lungs.

No offense, but that shot at the end of Scan Man (S5 E5) of Don standing outside that temple and then going inside is cinematic perfection.
