There's Nothing I'm Not Worthy Of (2018)
After a job interview around a week or two ago, I went to a coffee shop near my mom's work to wait for her to leave work so we could go home together. While waiting, I was chatting with my friends Clarice and Teri about the movie The Greatest Showman. I've already seen the movie that weekend (it was lacking in plot but it was a fantastic watch nonetheless) and I remembered the line from the song This Is Me which (which is one of my favorite songs in the movie) said, "and I know that I deserve your love / (Oh-oh-oh-oh) 'cause there's nothing I'm not worthy of". That line really struck a chord with me so I really wanted to make an artwork inspired by it.
I sketched out the words, went over it using a black marker and pens, rendered it in Illustrator, traced over the swirly confetti shapes, added stars, arranged the elements, and finally colored it in. I made four color variants instead of my usual three because I wanted to experiment with different color schemes.
Betsy Cornwell’s new novel ‘Forest Queen’ is published in August 2018, but has already had its cover reveal! Ink on paper and many layers and textures for this one.
and the thumbnails from the last project! we went with a combination of the bottom two thumbnails for the final design ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Holiday Card Process
This will be a pretty simple overview on how one of the Holiday Cards was made.
Each card was hand drawn on tracing paper and then scanned and brought into illustrator. I then used the Image Trace tool to vectorize the words.
Unfortunately image tracing did not come out as clean as I wanted and I decided to use the results as a base that I then drew over in Photoshop.
In Photoshop I picked out my color pallet and began working. I created my 3D type and then used a watercolor brush to add texture to letters.
I then decided to add a decorative element on the outside to finish the piece.
I added back in the background color and completed the card.
Much like how an actual card would have the company information on the back, I included my logo and my website link to the back of the cards.
I will be putting up a more in-depth tutorial on the textured 3D type at later date.
HOMEMADE APPLE PIE digital media, 2015
another piece I made for the senior show exhibit! This one’s a quote by Carl Sagan, about three of my favorite things—apples, astronomy, and incomprehensibility.
forgot to post this finished piece for the hallowzine!
it was nice to throw in a cute lighthearted piece with all the overtly symbolic imagery of my other stuff ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
