if i reblog your post saying your care isn't proper, this is not a personal attack. i understand sometimes people are given unreliable and incorrect information, even by seemingly trustworthy pet store employees! as long as you are willing to learn and want what is best for your hammy i have nothing against you! tons of hamster owners unknowingly started out with improper care (especially as children) and now have incredible set ups!

crittertrails and similar set ups will get an automatic 1/10 rating and no higher.

improper care can potentially be upsetting, so if you follow me and do not want to see improper care i suggest filtering the tag "#improper care". even though many of the things i will be calling improper care (bad enclosures, hamster balls, tubes etc) can also be called animal abuse or neglect i will be trying to avoid those terms in my posts because i find it causes people to get defensive and refuse to change their ways, seeing it as a personal attack (and thinking that changing their care is then admitting to the abuse/neglect). only in severe cases of abuse/neglect beyond the typical bad enclosures/unsafe supplies will i tag "#tw animal abuse" and/or "#tw animal neglect", which again i suggest filtering if you do not want to see. (i will largely avoid posts like these though)
