Current Leader: Augnhaldari (Dari)
Geography: Dust Clan is composed of East and West sectors, called Sunrise and Sunset respectively (or, Sunrise Dust and Sunset Dust) due to their terrain differences, Sunset being more lush and thick with trees, whereas Sunrise is more barren of the two. High Noon, better identified as the main (and almost only) freestanding building in Dust Clan. This is a small collection of buildings- a ration bank (emergencies only), a hospital (slightly useless, but you'd be surprised how many farming-related accidents occur!) and most importantly, Clan Hall, the political center of the clan.
Politics: While Dari is widely uninterested in expanding territory, their main focus is to keep their clan thriving. Outsider trade isn't particularly called upon, but in-clan trade is well and self-sustaining. While Dari has the final say in all things, below Dari is 5 Debators who discuss public affairs in the Clan hall to an audience (prompts to be discussed can be submitted or are nessecary to talk about, such as court trials and wartime affairs.) Dari will serve for life, and when Dari is dead, a new Clan Leader will be elected from one of the 5 Debators, and a new Debator will take their place.
Wartime: As of 2/19/26, Dust Clan is currently under attack on it's eastern front by Dune Clan. The eastern front, appraently, has withheld many deposits of minerals and in some cases rare gems, that are now sought after. As far as Dust Clan's army is concerned, the entire army is militia (volunteer), but war heroes are often granted discounts in the clanwide barter system and self-defense/weapons training classes are taught at many landmark trees in the West and water-wells in the East for free.
More about Sunrise and Sunset
Sunset (West) : Sunrise Dust has generally very unstable housing, living in fabric tents and travelling as they please. Their main exports are furs, plants (especially flowers or exotic plants) and timber. The species are largely made up of species who hail from dense forests or creatures that don't need a lot of light to survive. Meetings are held at landmark trees (particularly tall ones, as this reigon lacks well-made roads), all of which Dari makes at LEAST an effort to attend, as they're not often.
Sunrise (East) : Sunset Dust is barren compaired to Sunrise Dust, only having a stable forest dystem on it's eastern border. Most of the land is covered in short shrubs. However, inhabitants have made use of this land via using slash-and-burn techniquies to plant and grow crops. Sunset has more stable housing, using timber from Sunrise to build more stable cabing to house not only themselves, but crop storage. On the West Coast, there has been a more recrnt discovery of mineral desposits, which have gathered many eyes as far as popularity goes.
