Mina ended up one of my favorite characters in Masters just because of her voice acting, so I was really pleasantly surprised to see her get some spotlight here and maybe actually get to be the best option for a situation once in a while
I don't play with voices on, but that's interesting. I guess her VA did a really good job. Just kinda downplayed tired, or what?
Anyway, yeah, Mina's solid. I don't give her a lot of credit in her base form, but she's...pretty good. I think she handles more than I let her handle. As for the Sygna Suit, I'm coming around on it. It helps that it's Fini, and that she's arguably the best of the four. I don't entirely agree with that statement, but I think she's the one with the tools I need most. Acerola's probably the "best," but there's nothing she can do that SS Morty/SS Lyra can't. And Hau has tremendous potential with a lot he supports, but if you really need to there are often other possibilities in play, he just simplifies. Mina is the only one compressing Fairy Zone on a support, and offering Turn 2 capped offenses for any special attacker with Dire Hit+. I dunno, I have really come around on these Tapus just based on the kit. I don't love Gen 7's cast overall, so I was pretty bummed at first, but:
This is a lot of fun as support. Every one of the Tapu actually has some nice use at 1/5, and I love the playstyles enacted.
This didn't take away Nihilego. Lusamine can still win.
Honestly we all complain about wanting DeNA to give stuff to less popular options, and here we are in a month where three of the four big pairs are first-time alt recipients. It's a pretty nice move. Even if it kinda screwed over the protagonists for like no reason. So I'm trying to view it in that light instead.
