I taught another #railroad #spikeaxe tonight at #ironmountainmetalcraft and this was a great group! We ended with four nice axes and hopefully these guys all learned something valueable. One of the trends I noticed was a couple guys taking a swiping blow with the hammer. The thought behind it is that it will move metal faster. However, it really just effects the surface and doesn't really move the metal effectively. Use the tooled faces and hit stright down.
