Hamilton: *Scribbling papers through papers* I haven’t slept in a week...I should get some sleep once I’m done

*knock at the door*

Hamilton: Who could that be at midnight? *confuse before opening the door*

Maria: Hello, Mr. Hamilton. I know you’re a man of honor, I’m sorry to bother you at night but...*reveal sleeping Susan*...we have nowhere to go

Hamilton: Oh, of course. Come inside. I shall make you some tea *take Susan and place her on his bed*

Maria:  That won’t necessary, Mr. Hamilton. I’ll be leaving tonight but I need one request before I go

Hamilton: Name anything and I’ll be happy to help

Maria: Would consider adopting my daughter? 

Hamilton: I’m sorry, what?

Maria: I know it’s a lot to ask but please consider this offer, Mr. Hamilton. I’ve seen the way you bond with your children and be a great father to them. I want my daughter to live a happy childhood with a loving father.

Hamilton:  Are you, this is a wise idea Mrs. Maria?

Maria: I know it hard for me as a mother to depart from her child but it has to be done. Cause look  *Show Hamilton the bruises on her arms, legs, and blackeye* ...the pain and embarrassment I go through every day

Hamilton: *In shock* my goodness...how?

Maria: My husband. He treats me wrong, beat me, cheats me, and mistreats me. And I fear for my daughters’ life. I fear he may kill her if I don’t obey his order...So I know tonight would be my only chance

Hamilton:  *look at the sleeping Susan then Maria bruised face* A child life is very important and for that, I shall adopt her and take care of Susan as my own child

Maria: *Crying of joy* Thank you, Mr. Hamilton. Thank you so much

Based on my text fanfic “Susan Reynolds New Life: Hamilton Plot Twist” thought I could make it into a full-on fanfic

Alexander POV

There’s nothing like summer in the city whereas I was writing through an endless amount of papers. I was staying at home while my wife, my children, and my sister in law went upstate. It was the beginning of summer where they’re visiting my father in law. I would’ve gone but decided to stay behind so I can get my work done. I didn’t want to lose my job since I needed money to provide for my family. They’re all depending on him since I’m the head of the household. Well, that’s what society believes whereas the father is head of the household. Though in reality, I believe that my darling wife is the real head of our home. She needs how to keep the family together despite the strong harsh intention in the air. I couldn’t ask a better wife than Eliza. She’s my everything and I would be damn if I were to lose her.

Yeah, I know I’m being cheesy but wouldn’t you do the same. Wanting to provide money for your family but also protecting the ones you love. Well, anyway things happen as I’m busy working on my papers while regretting not going upstate with my family. Sighing quietly as I slid my fingers through my fairly greasy black hair. Rubbing my eyes as I’m pulling off a 7th all-nighter while continuing to work on my papers.

“I haven’t slept in a week ...I should get some sleep once I’m done” I talked to no one in particular

Looking at the clock only to see that it was only eleven in which I decided to work one more hour before going to bed. Scribbling through papers and papers nonstop despite my hand throbbing in pain. Once it was reaching toward midnight I decided to finish my work before changing into my sleeping wardrobe. Stretching my entire body that has been sitting down for hours and in for a need of rest. About to blow out the candle until I heard a knock at my door. I was confused since it was already midnight but didn’t really question it. Taking my candle as my only light source while walking down the stairs.  

“Who could that be at midnight?” I ask myself

Part 7

*11 years later as Susan walked through the garden*

Hamilton: Susan, come inside sweetie. Dinner

Susan: Alright, Papa *enter inside the house*

Hamilton: *smile lightly* Every year you continue to grow even more beautiful than ever

Susan: You’re too kind, Papa. It’s wonderful that Philip is finally home from college

Hamilton: Same, my daughter. Next week you’ll be the first women in the Hamilton family to be going off to a university

Susan: I believe it’s time for society to learn the young ladies are just as smart as men. And to show Martha Jefferson Jr who’s the boss

Hamilton: Amen, sister *began laughing*

Susan: *chuckle lightly*

Philip: *sneaking up behind Susan wanting to scare her*

Susan: Don’t you even think about Pilly

Philip: Damn it! How'd you know it was me? *taking an apple from the table*

Susan: Cause, I’m your sister and I have a sixth sense. Besides don’t you got better things to do

Philip: If you mean putting a spider down John Payne shirt then yeah

Susan: *began laughing too laugh* You a spider down John Payne shirt!! *fell out of her chair*

Hamilton: *fake scolding voice while trying not to laugh* Philip! Shame on you

Philip: I have to, Papa. John Payne is such an easy target. He’s just has a big “X” on his back

Susan: That may be true, but don’t pick on him too much. He’s a sweetie fella *blushing a little*

Philip: Why are you getting all protective of John Payne anyway?

Hamilton: She’s got a huge crush on him, that’s why *casual drinking his tea*

Philip: *choke on his apple for a bit* WHAT!?

Susan: Thank you for snitching on me, Papa *pouting and blushing*

Hamilton: You’re welcome *smile cheeky*

*hear a knock at the door*

Susan: *scared and frightened* Not again...

Philip: *hiding Susan and himself in the kitchen*

Hamilton: Stay here and don’t move until I said so

Susan/Philip: *nodded their heads*

Hamilton: *open the door before sighing of relief*  Sweet Jesus, Lafayette you gave us a heart attack

Lafayette: Sorry, I wanted to visit you and your family for the time being with my son Georges

Susan: Georges!! *tackles him to the ground*

Georges: Opff!! *lands on the ground with Susan on top of him* Every time.... every time and I keep falling for it

Susan: Don’t worry, you’ll learn someday  *pats Georges cheek before getting off of him*

Lafayette: *watch Georges, Philip, and Susan talking* Can’t believe it’s been 11 years since you adopt her

Hamilton: I know, hard to believe it myself. The one sweet little girl I once carried in my arms is now a young woman.

Lafayette: A lot of men’s wouldn’t hesitate to ask for her hand in marriage

Hamilton: That’s not what’s worries me *scare and trembling a little*

Lafayette: That Reynolds man is still looking after her

Hamilton: *sigh defeatly*  Yes, every month of the year he would come to my office or my house and ask any updates about Maria whereabouts and Susan safety. I continue lying to him since I won’t that monster take Susan away from

Lafayette: if that does happen?

Hamilton: I won’t hesitate to protect Susan even it cost my life. A father’s love is very strong for his children and he’ll cherish it till the end of his time

*Hamilton regretfully let James Reynolds enter in his office*

Hamilton: I hear that your wife and daughter went missing if I recall

Reynolds: *sit down on the chair*  Yes, last night when I return home from a business trip and I see my wife and daughter done

Hamilton: Alright, well do you any pictures of them? Like a portrait of them

Reynolds: I have a small one, *pull out a small picture of him, Maria and Susan smiling* I’m so afraid that they might get hurt or taken away

Hamilton: *notice Maria and Susan fake smiling in the picture*   Well have you and your wife have any problems

Reynolds: Oh no, we have such a great marriage and I have an amazing relationship with my daughter

Hamilton: *talking to himself* Bullshit

Reynolds: Well, I heard my mom wanting to speak with you about a certain topic. I don’t see the reason why unless it’s for a special occasion *Wonders around Alexander office*

Hamilton: About two nights ago your wife, Maria said she needed extra money since your daughter was sick

Reynolds: ...That lying whore

Hamilton: *growing angry in silent* Excuse me

Reynolds: You see, I have my wife has always cheated on me with different men for extra cash. I didn’t want my daughter living in their kind of environment

Hamilton: Were you planning to move away with your daughter?

Reynolds: Well, yes I wanted to take Susan away from New York and move to England

Hamilton: ...I see *See Reynolds staring at the closet*

Reynolds: Huh? Mr. Hamilton, I believe there’s someone in your closet

Hamilton: What makes you said?

*Both Hamilton and Reynolds hear a loud thump in the closet*

Reynolds: *acting suspicious* I wonder who could be in there

Hamilton: *talking to himself* Susan!! *shaking in fear but slowly grabbing his pistol*

Reynolds: *opening the closet only to find it empty* Huh, I could’ve sworn someone was in the closet

Hamilton: *see a box on the floor* Probably, the box must’ve fallen making us believe someone was in there

Reynolds: Perhaps, well I apologize for wasting your time but if you have anything on my wife and daughter. Please send me a letter

Hamilton: I’ll do my best, Have a good day Mr. Reynolds

Reynolds: Have a good day as well, Mr. Hamilton *walked away from the office*

Hamilton: *check the windows to see Reynolds walking away* Thank goodness he’s gone

*Hamilton rushes to the closet while moving the box way to open the trap door*

Susan: Is the monster gone? *climb out of the trap room*

Hamilton: Yes, sweetie. The monster he’s gone but seem like that monster will come back very soon

Susan: *start crying in silent* Daddy...I’m scared...he’s gonna take me away

Hamilton: Shhh, shhh it’s ok darling. I won’t let that monster take you away *hold crying Susan in his arms*

Susan: If he ever takes me away from you...would you come looking for me?

Hamilton: *kiss Susan forehead* I’ll do anything to keep you and her siblings safe and sound from that monster

Susan: *smile before cuddling Hamilton* We’ll always be a family forever, right Daddy

Hamilton: Of course sweetie, we’ll be a family forever through the end of time

*Arriving at Hamilton Work*

Hamilton: *walk into his office with Susan clinging on his back* Made it! And on too

Susan: *climbs of Hamilton back*  This is where you work, Daddy?

Hamilton: Yes, sweetie, now I have to deliver these papers to the President. Stay here and draw while I do that ok

Susan: Yes, daddy *grabs a paper and crayons*

Hamilton: *smile began walking off to Washington Office*

Susan: *Began singing while drawing*  Oh, we’ll be part of the narrative, in our story someday. Let our family be in the first chapter, where I’ll decide to stay.

Burr: That’s a pretty voice you have

Susan: *gasp and hide under Hamilton desk*  

Burr: No, no it’s ok darling. I’m a friend of Alexander

Susan: *looks at him suspiciously* You know my daddy?

Burr: Your daddy?  *confuse*

Susan: Yes, Mr. Hamilton is my new daddy. After Mommy said I would stay with him and his family

Burr: Where’s is your actual Mommy?

Susan: Well...*see Alexander at door and race toward him*  Daddy! *hide behind Alexander’s leg*

Hamilton: Oh, Mr. Burr what pleasant surprise. What brings you here? *Carries Susan in his arms*

Burr: I came to drop these papers off that Madison want to discuss

Hamilton: I see

Burr: Um...would you mind telling who this young girl is? *looking at Susan*

Hamilton: Oh, Aaron this is my new daughter Susan Reynolds Hamilton

Susan: *shyly waves at Aaron* Daddy, can I wait outside while you talk with Mr. Burr

Hamilton: Of course sweetie but don’t go wandering around ok, wait by the doors

Susan: Yes, papa *wait outside Alexander office*

Burr: Explanation, right now

Hamilton:  *sigh of defeat* It’s a long tragic story

Burr: I’ve got time

*Alexander explaining Susan and Maria situation with Aaron for the next twenty minutes*

Burr: Damn...did he...abuse Susan

Hamilton: Well Susan, he never got a chance since she threatens him to get a lawyer

Burr: Smart thinking

Hamilton: I’ll say but Susan does the cooking at home whenever your mother was too injured to do it then that job became hers

Burr: She shouldn’t go through that traumatic experience. Luckily, she has you now and can a normal childhood

Hamilton: As long her biological doesn’t haunt her down to me

Burr: What are you going to do if that does happen?

Hamilton: Well, given the fact that Susan is now under my care and with her mother permission. She practically already mines daughter but I won’t hesitate to protect her from that monster

Burr: Even if may cause a bullet going through you

Hamilton: I’ll do anything to keep Susan and my other children safe and sound

Burr: *smile* Now, I see why Maria pick you to be Susan adopted father. You’re really protective and caring for your children

Hamilton: Well, my father walked out on me when I was ten and I promise to myself that I won’t ever be that kind of man to my own children

Burr: You really love your children, huh?

Hamilton: They meant the world to me even we aren’t blood related I’ll love them with all my heart

Burr: Well, this was a pleasant conversation but I’ll have to get back to work, so see ya

Hamilton: Let’s talk again, for old time sake

Burr: It’s a promise *left Alexander’s office*

Susan: *frantically enters into Alexander's’ arm* Daddy..the.... monster...he...

Hamilton: Whoa whoa easy Susan. Now, tells me what’s wrong?

Susan: *shaking in fear* The monster...he...he’s here

Hamilton: What? *shock*

Susan: The monster! He’s here, I’m scared

Hamilton: *heart sank* What?

*Hear a knock at the door*

Reynolds: Excuse sir, Are you Alexander Hamilton?

Hamilton: *whispering* Don’t make a sound  *silently open the closet*  Get in

Reynolds: Sir, are you in there?

Hamilton: I’ll be there in a bit, Sir

Susan: *whispering* Daddy...I’m scared *shaking in fear and crying in silent*

Hamilton: Don’t worry, Daddy’s got it under control *close the door*

Reynolds: Mr.Hamilton?

Hamilton: Coming, sir *open the doors for his office*

Reynolds: Good Morning, sir. My name is James Reynolds I came to you for my missing wife and daughter. And I know you’ll be the one to help me

*Next Morning, Susan wakes up while Hamilton is still knockout*

Susan: Daddy, *shakes Hamilton* Daddy, wake up

Hamilton: *shift a little* It’s too early...let Daddy sleep. Go play or draw

Susan: *climb off the bed and went to the kitchen* Guess, I should make me and daddy some eggs and perhaps maybe some ham *go through the closet gathering some eggs and hams*

*Susan began cooking the eggs and hams while making some tea*

Susan: *setting up the table* I wonder if I should wake up, Daddy right now? *The tea kettle started whistling*  Later, better get the tea

Hamilton: *hears the tea kettle* Huh? Why is the tea kettle whistling no one is here but...OH SHIT!  *fell off the bed* Susan!!

*Hamilton races down the stairs but end ups cartwheeling down the stairs*

Susan: Oh, you’re up Daddy, want some breakfast?

Hamilton: Breakfast? You made breakfast? *confuse and shock*

Susan: Yeah, I made cook some eggs and ham. You want some?

Hamilton: Um...Sure...

Susan: *grab Hamilton hand to the table*  Here you go, I’ll go get some tea for you *grab the tea kettle before pouring the tea into the teapot*

Hamilton: Susan, sweetie how long you been cooking?

Susan: Since I was about two years old. When the monsters would hurt Mommy very badly she told me how to cook in the kitchen

Hamilton: How bad would he hurt your mommy?

Susan: The monster would hurt mommy very badly where she couldn’t move her arms or legs. She would often lay down in bed for a week or more but I didn’t mind

Hamilton: Did you always cook breakfast?

Susan: And dinner as well since the monster said that I cook better than...Mommy. I hate him...I hate that monster.

Hamilton: *hug Susan* Shh, shh it’s ok darling, let’s just enjoy breakfast

Susan: *wipe her tear away* Alright

Hamilton: *began eating the eggs and hams* I must say, this is pretty good. Especially cooked by a five-year-old girl

Susan: Practice makes perfect *happily eats her eggs and bacon*

Hamilton: *laughing lightly* Well, good thing I don’t have to go work today till 10

Susan: At 10? Huh? Funny cause that causes say 9....something something *points at the clock*

Hamilton: 9...something something *looks at the clock and seeing it’s already 9: 40 and nearly choke on his food*  Shoot! I’m gonna be late, Susan finish your breakfast and get ready

Susan: Where are we going? *drinks her cup of tea and finish her breakfast*

Hamilton: To daddy’s work where you’ll meet Burr, Madison, and..ugh Jefferson

Susan:  Who’s Jefferson? *puts her small red dress on*

Hamilton: Just Daddy’s bully that I hate and fight

Susan: *gasp* Daddy’s, you shouldn’t be fighting, shame on you *gives him the shame finger*

Hamilton: *pouted* He’s the one starts it, well anyway *tying his hair up* Ready?

Susan: Ready, ready *giggles happily before running outside barefooted*

Hamilton: Hold up Susan, you need some shoes

Susan: *looks down in shame and embarrass*  I...I don’t have any shoes

Hamilton: What? Why not?

Susan: Mommy never has the money since the monster would spend it on himself like his special juice and clothes as well. The monster said I didn’t need shoes anyway since I’m always home alone

Hamilton: *carried Susan in his arms* We’ll buy you shoes after Daddy finish work. You’ll get to see Uncle Mulligan

Susan: Hooray!!

Hamilton: *chuckle lightly*

Maria: *count the money in shock* Sir Hamilton, this is too much...I can’t take this from you

 Susan:  Mommy? Who is this man?  *Confuse and standing next to Hamilton*

 Maria: Susan, honey I thought you were asleep

 Susan: *look down in shame and scared* I have a bad dream...I saw... the monster hitting you again then he came after me...I was so scared mommy *began crying*

 Maria:  *got down her knees and Susan wipe her tears*  Shh, shhh it ok baby. The monster can’t hurt us anymore sweetie. We are free my child but...we can’t be together anymore sweetie

 Susan: Why, not mommy? Don’t you love me?

 Maria: *hug Susan tightly* I do darling but the monster will hunt us down and hit Mommy badly and I don’t you to be with that monster anymore. Do you understand, sweetie?

 Susan: Yes, mommy. *looks at Hamilton*  Is this nice man my new daddy?

 Hamilton: *smile at Susan then at Maria*

 Maria: *Smile back* Yes, baby. Mr. Hamilton is the nice man that I’ve been telling you about. He’s going to be your new daddy and you’re going to have Mrs.Hamilton as your new mommy. You’ll have brothers and sisters to play with.

 Susan: *smile before hugging Maria tightly while crying*  I want you to stay with me, Mommy...don’t go

 Maria: I know darling...but please be a good girl for me and Mr. Hamilton with his family

 Susan: *sniff a little* Ok

 Maria: That’s my girl *kiss Susan forehead*

 Hamilton: *grab a horse before helping Maria getting on*  Be safe and don’t worry I’ll make sure that Susan is safe and sound

 Susan: *hug Hamilton before waving at Maria* Bye, mommy. I love you

 Maria: Bye, Susan...Mommy loves you too. *rode off to far away deep into the forest*

 Hamilton:  *carried Susan back inside the house*  You want to hear a story about a princess that join the war?

 Susan: *smile happily* Yes, that’s sound better than Cinderella *hug Hamilton happily*

Hamilton:  *smile a little* This is going to be an interesting family now
