I get to write a new scene for Hamlet for a final project in my class and you bet I'm making it gay between Hamlet and Horatio
So like we started watching Hamlet in my Shakespeare class and now I'm going through a phase so expect a lot of Hamlet posts
Also if you're a Hamlet page or a fan of Hamlet, interact please. I want Hamlet friends. Plus I love all the memes on Tumblr
So I decided to post the Hamlet added scene I wrote for my Shakespeare class! (I got 80/100 on it btw)
HAMLET Added Scene
Takes place after Act 1 scene 2
(HAMLET is waiting in his bedroom quarters. After what seems like a long time of waiting HORATIO enters and smiles sweetly at HAMLET)
HORATIO: You wanted to meet me in private, my Lord?
(Instead of responding with words, HAMLET pulls HORATIO into an embrace, HORATIO gladly returned this)
HAMLET: Thou hast no idea how glad I am that thou ist here. I desperately need thy care right now.
HORATIO: Of course my Lord. I couldn’t just stay back in Wittenburg for another month and leave thou be.
(HAMLET steps back and places his arms gently around HORATIO’s waist as he closes his eyes and kisses the scholar. HORATIO kisses back immediately and they stay in this position for a couple minutes before HORATIO’S eyes widen and he pushes the prince away, realizing their situation)
HORATIO: M-My Lord! Ist kissing really a good idea right now? What if someone sees? L-Like th’ king o’ worse, Ophelia. This ist nothing like back in England.
HAMLET: Horatio tis alright. I am making sure no one catches us. I promise.
HORATIO: If thou believest…
(Both men are smiling once more as they kiss each other again. The kiss ends when they pull away for air)
HAMLET: Oh sweet Horatio...how I’ve missed thee..
HORATIO: I’ve missed thee as well. But there are more important matters than catching up after only two months.
HAMLET: Such as..?
HORATIO: Th’ spirit my Lord. Thou must speakest to it.
HAMLET: Ah yes. I almost forgot. Your fair face has always made me tend to forget things.
(HORATIO flushes and playfully shoves HAMLET then starts to head towards the door)
HORATIO: Come my Lord, we may have more time together later on when we have the chance.
(HAMLET crosses over to HORATIO and goes to grab his hand. HORATIO takes it and gently kisses the top of it then lets go and exits. HAMLET exits right behind HORATIO)
Guys can we imagine if Hamlet met Horatio's family and how "well" that would go?

“...and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest..”
5 years. 5 long, slow, painful years was Horatio without his Hamlet. He lost his ability to sleep, eats very little whenever it is necessary, hardly takes care of himself, and only speaks when spoken to. He was broken. He wished everyday for someone to take his life and reunite him with his sweet prince. Thankfully for him, his wish was soon granted. Horatio had stayed in Denmark, unable to bring himself to return to school, and to continue Hamlet's legacy throughout his kingdom. Many Danes had known about Horatio's romantic affair with Hamlet but none spoke of it. Yet one acted upon it. As Horatio was walking to his home a mysterious man was watching him the entire walk. He had a sword in his hand and was prepared to strike at the right moment. When that moment came, the man thrusted his sword into Horatio's back and through his chest, giving him very little time for life. His legs slowly gave way once the blade was removed and he fell on his chest. As his life slowly drained a smile of hope slowly crept on his face. He died with the smile.
Horatio started hearing a fuzzy voice getting louder and louder and clearer and clearer.
“Horatiooo~.....Sweet Horatio...Wake up….You're home now….Wake up Horatio..”
Horatio's eyes fluttered open. He squinted them when a bright light struck them. He covered the light with his arm and saw a smiling face he knew all too well.
“My lord…” He spoke and promoted himself up on his elbows. Hamlet chuckled at his friend.
“How ironic. Tis usually you who wakes me.”
Before Hamlet could speak again Horatio yelled out “My Lord!” Once more in a happy tone as he leaped up and hugged the prince almost knocking him down. Hamlet returned the embrace with zero hesitation. Warm tears ran down Horatio's angelic face. “Oh sweet prince...how I've missed thee...my heart has yearned for thy touch for five painful years.”
“And I yours…” Hamlet pulled back and took Horatio's face into his hands. No more words were said, or needed to be said, as Hamlet locked their lips in a longful embrace. Since neither no longer needed breath, they could stay like this for eternity. But they wanted to do more than just lock lips. Hamlet unlocked them yet kept Horatio's face in his hands as he rested their foreheads together, both mens eyes closed, savoring this moment.
“My lord…a thousand words used to occupy my mind as to what to say to you when I reunited with thee...now I can't say a single one..”
“Don't. There is no need for words sweet Horatio..and no need for such formal names..call me Hamlet, like you once did in the privacy of our quarters.”
Horatio nodded smiling a sweet soft smile. “I shall...Hamlet.”
Hamlet would be the one who lays on top of Horatio and sits on his lap instead of the other way around
Hamlet au where everything is the same except modern emo music exists and is the only modern thing about the play and at one point Hamlet is talking to Horatio and R&G (I can't even pronounce their names let alone type it) decides to show the king (I can't remember names leave me alone) a fun trick and starts playing Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance and Hamlet just freezes, slowly drops to the floor, and starts crying meanwhile Horatio gives them a cold angry glare when he notices them and starts to chase them
Side notes: Hamlet and Horatio sung this song together a lot back in school, also either a public or private dance (or BOTH) scene where they dance to Nine in the Afternoon by Panic! At the Disco
ALSO HORATIO PLAYING GUITAR AND SINGING NORTHERN DOWNPOUR TO HAMLET (and him quietly singing it as he dies in his arms)
It's funnier when you think of the 96 movie version
