#hallucination!oswald

I asked myself this after making Gotham Bingo Round 1 Part 2: "Hallucination" (by @gothambingo )

Sadly Jim already has a tendency to consume drugs (more specifically whiskey) and to not fully let go of past relationships. 🥲

I'm not saying that he would absolutely use hallucinogens to see Oswald but like if he did, let's say because some villain let him hallucinate as a distraction, what do you think would Oswald be like? 😁

I can imagine that he'd be in character but a mix of early him looking all flustered around Jim, and present him, who criticizes him and makes snarky remarks 😂

Asking for a friend

I know Nygmobblepot is not canon (yet) but Oswald’s feeling are, and based on this scene Ed’s as well

The writers could have chose ANY song, literally any, about generic love and friendship but they chose an unmistakably SEXUAL one

Not romantic, outright sexual

They could have cut out the sexually explicit parts of the lyrics but no, they specifically chose the most obvious bits:

He's fierce in my dreams, seizing my guts / He floats me with dread / Soaked in soul / He swims in my eyes by the bed / Pour myself over him / Moon spilling in / And I wake up alone

Being in the bedroom together is mentioned twice and “pour myself over him” cannot be interpreted as anything else than physical attraction and desire

This emphasis on sex and Ed’s frustrated reaction to the song were completely unnecessary to the plot if not to show us something Ed doesn’t admit out loud

Hallucination!Oswald himself says 'the trouble with talking to projections of your psyche, and you of all people should know this, is that they know everything you know. Including the things you're trying not to know’
