SENDING GOOD VIBES to BRIAN MAY Brian May has cancelled his tour schedule for the rest of this year due to a "persistent illness." If you don't recognize the name, Dr. May, is the brilliant QUEEN co-founder/guitar virtuoso/song writer/producer (oh, ..& astrophysicist/author/inventor/philanthropist/activist, bearing the titles of Dr. - a Phd in Astrophyics bestowed by the Imperial College of London and CBE - bestowed by the Queen of England … yeah. He has also had a species of Brazilian fly and an asteroid named after him in honor of his work in conservation and space exploration.) Our mentor in Musical Theatre, Stephen Schwartz, wrote "Defying Gravity" a massive hit song as part of his record-breaking musical "Wicked" but when Brian May got hold of it, he elevated the song to an even higher realm. He arranged and produced it for LoJoFav Musical Theatre Diva Kerry Ellis, who originated the role of Elphaba in London's West End. THANK YOU Dr. May for this recording and so many other hit anthems.
