My beautiful #pheasant bottle I picked at Living History Day yesterday at Halfinger Farms! This plump #daffodil vase makes a good memory of my Guinea Gui who we lost yesterday gruesomely to a predator! And sheds a bit of happiness in remembrance of his silly self. Because what are daffodils but sunshine and happiness!? The daffodils make a nice floof for a head too! I love it! You can pick your own vase at @dancingdaffodilsct any day you visit for a donation to go with your next bouquet! Yesterday’s outing at Halfinger Farms was lovely and educational. Scores of daffodil pickers showed up throughout the day to bundle bouquets and be transported back to the 19th Century, learning all about the beginnings of the old farmhouse and land! I believe Benanual and Concordance were there in spirit, proudly admiring what their beginnings evolved into! This year Dancing Daffodils has not only added more daffodils but a “donate for a vase” option! Here you can pick the vase you want for your flowers with a donation that benefits the Dirty Blue Shirts and the Cromwell Historical Society in an effort to transform the area into a Daffodil Destination! People from all over have pitched in vases and any type can be found… (see my next post!) it’s been quite fun gathering glass for this all winter … a fun hunt of sorts and the new option makes everyone so happy!
