When Sid walks in - because it has to be Sid, Zhenya thinks, there’s no mistaking him - it’s like everything narrows down to one point. Sid only has eyes for the baby in Zhenya’s arms, and Zhenya recognizes in him the longing that he himself had once felt, the kind written all over your face when you see a child or a baby and think, when? 

But then Sid smiles, so wide that it makes his face crinkle and his eyes sparkle, and when he turns his attention toward Zhenya - 

Well. That’s really all it takes. 

honestly I know he’s just zoned into the game, but it always looks like he’s dissociating

like they were hot garbage & it sucks. they have too much talent to play like that. fumbling pucks, turn overs, awful shooting. & where TF is Sid at?? he’s been mia this season.

there have been no highs this season though. the pens have been awful. sloppy plays, turning the puck over, passing to nobody or missed passes, constantly playing in their own zone, taking penalties that lead to goals that have literally been the deciding goals of the game. it’s frustrating & we’re all seriously worried about whether they’re going to be able to pull it together to even make it to playoffs.

don’t apologise for being upset bee!! i think all of us are still a little iffy tbh because they still doubled down and said this wasn’t political so they’re either ignorant as hell or don’t care about what trump is doing, which lol affects my enjoyment of the team even tho it’s a hyperfixation for me.
