the movie credits were rolling on the black screen of his tv, shrouding his room in shadows. he hears a yawn, followed by the sudden pressure of someone’s head resting on his shoulder. when he glances down he finds eri fast asleep && cuddled against his side. it was surprising, to say the least. to find the girl in a state of peace && relaxation ---- a juxtaposition to her general high-wired, fiery disposition. she even drooled a bit, which was kind of cute. 

haru lifted a hand && paused a bit. his first reaction was to ruffle her hair, because her sleeping position reminded him so much of when kaname would pass out during their movie nights && curl up beside him. with kaname, haru’s limited use of affection came easier. but with other people, like eri who had just recently became a part of his life, it was harder. could he do it ?? could he pass go ??

she moves again, this time pressing in further. && haru’s surprised at himself as he feels the overwhelming urge to let her stay curled up against him. but he refrains. the whole couch would be more comfier to sleep on than his bony shoulder. finally, he decides to brush a few strands of hair from her head. then he moves as to not disturb her, resting her onto the couch && pulling the blankets over her shoulders.
