What you ask is ready for you But you are not yet prepared to receive – Would you walk a beloved Through your garden Without uprooting it first of its weed?

يَا مَنْ عِلْمُهُ سَابِقٌ ya man i`il-muhu sabiq O He Whose Knowledge is eternal, يَّا مَن وَّعْدُهُ صَادِقٌ ya maw-wa`a-duhu sadiq O He Whose Promise is true, يَّا مَن لُّطْفُهُ ظَاهِرٌ ya mal-lut-fuhu dhaahir O He Whose Benignity is manifest, يَّا مَنْ أَمْرُهُ غَاِلبٌ ya man am-ruhu ghalib O He Whose Command is overruling, يَّا مَن كِتَابُهُ مُحْكَمٌ ya man kitabuhu muh-kam O He Whose Book is clear and final, يَّا مَن قَضَاؤُه كَائِنٌ ya man qadha-uh ka-in O He Whose Judgement is inevitable, يَّا مَن قُرْآنُهُ مَجِيدٌ ya man qur-a-nuhu majeed O He Whose Qur'an is glorious, يَّا مَن مُّلْكُهُ قَدِيمٌ ya mam-mul-kuhu qadeem O He Whose Rule is eternal, يَّا مَن فَضْلُهُ عَمِيمٌ ya man fadhluhu `ameem O He Whose Favour is common to all, يَّا مَن عَرْشُهُ عَظِيمٌ ya man `ar-shuhu `adheem
