A friend got me curious about Forsaken and naturally, I got invested in their favorite ship, Pizzaburger. We ended up developing an idea where 007n7 began using his hacking skills to protect the others, however, the Spectre punishes these unauthorized hacks by draining his health as it happens. It eventually kills him for the round. He knows the risks, but he doesn't stop. If all the others view him as is the exploiter he once was and outcast him for it, might as well embrace it for their sake despite not getting any thanks for it.
This is when Elliot ended up caring. It wasn't an immediate change of course. It was very well a slow one because it's easier to hold onto hate than to accept your own flaws (in this idea, 7n7 ended up snapping at the group because he deserves it, but that's a story for another day). Before this, it was just silent glares, no concern. But it gradually melted into concern and eventually, care.
