He’s certain that loitering isn’t allowed in her office, but considering his nighttime activities ( not that she knows about it ), perhaps this should not come as a surprise. When the last patient files out of her office, it’s only then when he finally steps inside, leaning a little more on his cane than he intended to. His shoulder smarts and he can only imagine the blood seeping through his shirt, through broken stitches- which is a shame since he did actually like this shirt.

25. Does fatigue affect your ability to write or do you always have energy for the grind?

absolutely! in the past i might have been able to do grind regardless of how i was feeling, but these days, if i'm tired/in pain/something that's not healthy i'll come back to a reply another day. i'd end up just wasting more time in front of the computer otherwise. it's not a race...either way no matter how much time passes, i do get back to ppl one way or another :D

well for one thing it can't be anything with words ( even with foreign language words most times bc most times i've listened to the songs enough to recognize the tune itself ). for calum ( and mana too for that matter - aka that thesis ) i listen to the soundtrack of the remake of the fruits basket anime. calum's revised story in particular takes inspiration from that series, but more importantly with my characters in general, they have the general vibe of fruits basket- at moments very dark, but overall, hopeful. specifics though, i listen to momiji's violin and i'm the one always being saved osts specifically for romantic scenes between mana and calum, and then for calum alone, there's i will protect you ost, umareru negai, and i will become a cat ost.

🌻 -- [ I’ve been teased/bullied a lot because of my weight back in highschool but I was generally someone who doesn’t even care about it because honestly, I’m not that big. but there was one particular time back in polytechnic (or equivalent to college) where I felt it was more of a bully attempt. there were some students in my cohort that drew a figure that looked like me and made it such that my body was a huge round and having ‘pig’ nose. but being the silent type, I just kept quiet and bottled up my anger, patiently waiting for class to end so I don’t need to see their face ]

🌻 -- [ I actually have ONE working eye now. something happened with my left eye last year and because of what seemed to be extremely high pressure in my eye, I’m already blind on my left -- and when I shine some light on it, my pupils doesn’t react to the light and it looks like I got an eye of a dead fish. also, the doctor I went to advised me to go for an operation to REMOVE my left eye bc there’s no way of recovering the sight anymore (and to avoid getting really bas headache on the left side of the head) ]

🌻 -- [ I’m a person that rarely gets offended by things. however, one particular event that happened at work did that because of a comment made by a CUSTOMER...simply because my first language is English and not Bahasa Malaysia (which is technically Malay). I told said customer that my Malay wasn’t that great and it’s broken beyond comprehension, but he proceeds to say that I shouldn’t show off that I can speak English in my own country and should be proud of being Malaysian by speaking Malay. of course, I was taken aback and my head went ‘what the fuck are you on about my man?’. but thankfully, that guy apologized to me, even though I said there was no offense taken ]

The words put Bicé in mind of her brother, Christian, whom she had always felt more comfortable with than most, and so she responded to Rónàn as she would have responded to Christian, with a small smile and a quick shake of her head.  “It’s not a big deal, really.  I like helping.”  Most of the time, her attempts to be helpful -- her attempts to be anything, really -- were simply brushed off, ignored.  In fact, Rónàn might be the only person, besides Christian or Belle, who ever seemed willing to accept what she offered, and she was glad for it.  She knew very little about his life outside of her, having only actually met him a handful of times herself, but she got the impression that it was not completely unlike hers; in some ways, it seemed like they both needed each other, though she would not say it, for fear of overstepping.  She frowned then, a bit of worry more apparent now.  “You’re not in too much trouble, are you?  I worry, sometimes.”  She hoped the admission was not too much, though it was true.

“I’m being condescending. It’s different,” she responded flatly. “I wouldn’t be wasting my time if I considered reason to be outside the realm of possibility for the conversation.” Her short, clipped tone was the only indication that there was some insult taken in the presumption, though that was hardly different than her usual attitude while discussing business. “But if you’re going to go around flinging accusations about how I’m treating you, this is going to become a long and painful process, and I’d advise finding someone else to assist you.”

there was a slight cringe at the end, knowing that hyejung didn’t talk like that in real life but she did want to support a long-time friend. they had lost contact ever since hyejung decided to go off the grid, deleting her contacts for a fresh start. there was a sense of relief after her phone was completely empty, but it felt like she had torn a piece of her life along with it. it was already done, the constant clicking of ‘delete contact?,’ with her finger hovering the ‘are you sure?’ prompt was a tedious process, it had to be done. she was unsure if kenton even checked his social media, knowing that he would be busy with yuna in the long run.
