Well, that was a.. disconcerting chapter!
We found out about the former team, the Reach. The Reach was a sponsored hero team, consisting for some time of Capricorn, Moonsong, Furcate, and Coiffure, and possibly others. Capricorn left at some point, after which other members, possibly including Tribute, Boundless, Figurehead, and Steamwheel also were a part of Reach. Reach has pretty much dissolved in the years since Golden Morning. It kind of sounds like a terrible team while it existed because most people somewhat hated eachother.
Specifically, we followed Capricorn, who also hired a “professional” for upwards of $20k to do something along the lines of “complete and total destruction,” or at least be in reserves for doing something “deeply wrong.” This is obviously concerning.
In terms of the greater Worm world, we learned that the city on Earth Gimel is doing well with a lot of new construction. We also learned that they’re setting up some kind of new PRT-ish thing called the Wardens. We didn’t learn that much else about the world, though, which is a bit disappointing.
I will cross my fingers that whatever Cap’s planning isn’t too awful. He did say that Coiffure inspired him to still want to be a hero, so hopefully he’s planning on doing good.
