Fandom: Story Thieves

Pairing: Bethany Sanderson/Gwen

Summary: Bethany is hoping to spend the afternoon in Jupiter City, fighting crime, locking up supervillains, and taking a much-needed break from school. But life, as always, has other plans.

First of all, I’d like to put out a disclaimer: I’m not trying to say anything bad against Gwen, she’s an absolute angel. Bethany is a little iffy, but she’s pretty bearable.

As for Gwen and Bethany, most of that relationship has been Gwen helping Bethany with her issues with her father, and never the other way around. There’s nothing wrong with your partner helping you through things, you should be able to open up to each other and help each other, but it seems more like the relationship revolves around Bethany and her problems, and the only thing I know that Bethany has done for Gwen is show her Earth for the first time.

Gwen is absolutely okay with this, though, I know this for a fact. Out of all of us, she is the most mentally stable and is always ready to listen to our problems. And good for her for being able and willing to do that! She really doesn’t have to, which is the point that I’m making with these last two paragraphs: Gwen is not obligated to deal with anyone’s problems, even the problems of any partner she has.

Gwen: Bethany, that’s not how you bake cookies.

Bethany: Floor it?

Gwen: NO!

Bethany: HOW ABOUT 4,000,000 DEGREES FOR ONE SECOND!
