I'm writing an unusually political Disafterlives chapter right now, but it has its highlights, such as Theotar boning Renathal while trying not to wake their wife, and:

He strolled back to the bedroom, and listened at the door. Gwennit keened with every pant. Renathal closed his fists and put his eye down his trousers.

(Don't worry, I fixed it.)

I have eight parts planned. Thing is, part seven is 18k words long, and Gwennit hasn't even got to Zereth Mortis. If I keep this in one piece, we're probably looking at 40k words.

Basically, should Long Chapter Be Long, or should I split this thing down the middle and have nine parts in the series?

You, uh, you guys still sure you want this in one piece? Because I'm starting to think I'm gonna need a total of nine stories to keep things manageable. Weren't the first five parts, like in the 10-13k range? Then 20k, now looking at 50k or more?

Renathal and Theotar aren't really in this one. It's just Gwennit going into Zereth Mortis for the final battle. However, their final line would probably be: "*keens in heartbreak"
