I learned in my premarital counseling that women judge their day by how they related with the world, while men judge it by how they competed with it.
I also learned that men organize their minds like a hotel, with a room for each category of thought. So, if a guy's in his "pet" room, and you try talking to him about cars, he will either try to help himself understand by thinking in pet metaphors until he moves to the cars room, or everything you say before he moves to the cars room will be unheard. There's also potential that he'll be frustrated that you forced him out of the room he was playing in. However, there is a secret tunnel that guys have that every room has that leads to the sex room, meaning that he could be thinking about anything and just randomly start thinking about it.
Meanwhile, women's thoughts are like a ball of yarn-- everything's connected, which is why guys think that we're arguing about moving the sofa, but the girl's thinking back to her Mom not showing her the respect she deserved.
I don't know what all this means, but I think it's important, and I don't think that it's widely known, enough. Much love! Until next time.
