hi so quick question for therians/alterhumans. background, im entirely closeted as a therian besides on tumblr. i have one (1) irl on here and he doesnt really check tumblr often so idk if she knows. probably not. i also have a boyfriend, he and i are incredibly close and hes the first person i told about my name change and id say hes my favorite person. i love him dearly and hes very important to me. his opinion is almost as important as my own, although my opinions regarding myself and my actions will always trump his. also, heβs a furry. this is semi-relevant, i suppose. so am i, thats the closest he knows to my nonhumanity is that im a furry and i use he/him and it/its. he only uses he/him for me but its whatever, thats what everyone does.
now that you have background, my question. i was talking to him and i told him that i was curious and running a study because of the overlap in the therian and furry communities (yes, i know not every therian is a furry and vice versa, there just seem to be a number that are both) and i asked him what he thought about therians. he refused to give me what he called βthe long answerβ and instead gave me the short answer of βim not a huge fan, i think theyre weird but its their life.β in essence. he also brought up the whole litter box in schools bullshit that hasnt happened. its rage-bait at least 99% of the time. but idk. the question i have is, how do i proceed? i really wanna tell him but i cant lose him. if hes not supportive i guess i shouldnt stay with him but neither of us know any therians irl and his opinions could change depending on me and his knowledge of me. what should i do?

I'm in need of some advice or opinions. I've entered into a non monogamous relationship with my partner. He says he's not willing to be a monogamous, so if I want to remain in a relationship with him, I would need to be in a non monogamous relationship. I have no problem with the concept of non monogamy, the challenge I face is my own mental health. I have terrible self-confidence and anxiety about my partner dating and being intimate with other people. I know jealously is a secondary emotion and I can identify that the primary emotion is insecurity. I've talked to my partner about it and he's recorded some voice messages for me that address the common negative stories I tell myself (that him being intimate with someone else will take away from our relationship, or that he's going to compare us) and I've been playing it for myself when I experience anxiety about it. But I could use some suggestions as to how do get to a place where I don't spiral when he spends time with his other partner. Is this just something I need to work on in therapy? Is there something I can ask for from him to help my anxiety? Does anyone have an experience being polyamourous while struggling with self worth? Is it possible for me to be in this relationship? I'd love thoughts and opinions.
