When it comes to travel, it’s almost always best if you just go with the flow. Sometimes unexpected things happen that become the stories we all tell to those that maybe never get the chance to go. This photos encapsulates a cold night around a roaring fire with great friends swapping stories and sharing good eats. The hours passed by and it was the perfect way to relax after a decent amount of time hunkered down playing “Go Fish” in foreign accents in the back of a conversion van. The unexpected thing that happened is that just as we were about to call the night quits, the aurora borealis came rolling in across the sky and everyone went into a tizzy trying to whip out their cameras. It’s cool that Frank Cho posted a Zatanna cover showing her getting ready to visit Hogwarts.
In the depths of my schizophrenia, I was primarily under a delusion that Dr. Fate, Constantine, Zatara, and Zatanna were attempting to save my soul from being possessed by a demon. For a while there, the demons also became satanic versions of Voldemort’s Death Eaters, as well as Dementors, and the aforementioned heroes with some of Hogwarts staff waged a magic shadow war with the forces of darkness.
I’m “better” now, i.e., I’ve conquered a vast majority of my schizo delusions with proper medication and rest, but what’s important these days is finding something to do with the large amounts of free time I have.
