hello!! happy whatever day it is today i’m totally disoriented

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

the stuff i wrote this year was. unexpected. most of it was self actualization for baby me. however, there is one thing where ongreenergrasses of ten years ago was rolling their eyes the entire time I wrote it (which was a very, very long time) and that is the sun persists in rising. that premise is so obnoxious in my eyes smh genuinely do not understand how that ended up becoming the best thing i’ve ever written

21. most memorable comment/review

oh i have been exceptionally fortunate with the beautiful comments people have left me this year. exceptionally fortunate. literally everything people have said to me is memorable, I reread the comments people leave all the time and sometimes I’m still in shock. but! the comment from this year i printed out to save forever was by yumyum

this is in part because this was left on cellulose nitrate and yumyum somehow got like. a ton of stuff out of that fic when I went in and was just like ✨ woundfucking ✨ so it serves as a reminder that you will never know what sticks with people and what comes out in your writing

24. favorite fic you read this year

mmmm okay yeah I can see it. I can see the vision here I think I could work with this. I personally just got slammed in the face with an idea upon reading this ask and I think it might be sufficiently dark to satisfy me, because if there’s one thing i know well in this world it’s nightmares

and thank you 💜 I have been missing Johanna and i’m really glad you enjoy my take on her, idk if you read whatever fic it is that has Claire in it but i’m kind of into the idea of writing a Johanna/Claire one off for me myself and I. so if nothing else that’ll get done

came up with an idea on the spot we’re gonna roll with it

“Move then, Joss,” Delfin said. She reached over and shoved at her shoulder.

Annie rolled her eyes. “Put out the fire,” she said, digging in her coveralls pocket. “I’ll…”

“What?” Jocelyn asked, sticking her head a little more out from her blanket cocoon.

“Have you seen the key?”

“Annie,” Delfin said, and Annie could hear her trying not to laugh. “Did you lose the skiff key?”

“No,” Annie said, kicking sand at her. “Obviously.”

She’d absolutely lost the skiff key.
