Gunlom is a combination of waterfalls and natural pools, surrounded by shady gum trees and picnic areas. The area provides amazing views of Kakadu National Park.

After a very drunken flight involving Hollie getting spiked by a strange Bogan man we finally arrived in Darwin at 1am. We set up camp on the airport floor and slept there for the night, true backpacker style. In the morning we headed to go and get the campervan. As me and Jack decided to come last minute and are illegally tagging along we went for a wonder for the nearest cafe. It is so hot in Darwin, sweltering! Such a change from Sydney at the moment. We found a cafe and got a text from Aaron saying they had been upgraded to a complimentary six bed campervan. At first we thought he was having us on because that is literally too lucky to be true. But sure enough they pulled up in our Apollo beast! We got on the road and headed into the city, first stop supermarket where we spend $200 on food and $300 on booze (priorities) then headed for our final nice meal in nandos. Ruggles came to wave us off and it was so good to see him. Finally after buying some game and supplies we got on the road and headed to a place called Gunlom. After hours of driving we ended up on the most deserted campsite which we didn't pay for. It literally looked like a scene from wolf creek. Oh well, the drinking started, drank three boxes of goon and some vodka. Resulting in Hollie chundering, Harry putting his toes in Aaron's mouth whilst he was asleep and running around trying to catch cane toads.
