gumo
On our 6th November (Sunday) afternoon dive, we go straight to the Sea People Village and discover that Gumo has finished unlocking our 3rd Seaweed Farm plot. We sow Sea Grape seeds on the new plot. We also spend another 300 Bei to unlock the 4th row plot of land.
As we make our way up The Blue Hole map from the Sea People Village, we encounter a Tiger Shark. While fighting it, we get the Quick-Time-Event (QTE) unique to Tiger Sharks, where we get a sunburst that we must manipulate to encircle the dot. Now armed with some prior knowledge gained from Discord, we use the WASD keys to move the sunburst to encircle the dot. This triggers Dave to do a counterstrike attack on the Tiger Shark's head with his melee weapon the diving knife.
Upon surfacing, we get our report for Dive No. 84, which did not break any records. Worthy of note though, is that we fought a Smooth Hammerhead in the Shipwreck Interior, managing to tranquillise and drone it away. However, we did not get any pics of our capture of the Smooth Hammerhead, because we had to contend with a Sailfish attacking us at the same time. I promise we will try to get a pic of the Smooth Hammerhead on our subsequent dives.
We get back our Dispatch Results this evening, and it looks like Kyoko brought back +2 Bonus seasonings - a Black Pepper and a Curry Block.
Meanwhile, our Marinca is filling up nicely with the new entry of the Smooth Hammerhead.
We check up on our GYAO! fry, who seems to be sick. But we can't do anything for now because it is sleeping. We turn off the lights and wait for morning.
At our Farm, our rice crops have matured and are ready for harvesting. Just in time for Bancho Sushi's dinner service tonight!
Back at Bancho Sushi, we research 2 new recipes - Chirashi Sushi, mxmtoon's favourite dish, and Seahorse Udon, a Cooksta Platinum Rank unlock. We have the ingredients to serve both tonight.
Preparing a total of 37 servings, for 36 customers and mxmtoon, Tonight's Menu consists of: -
Chirashi Sushi - 690 gold/serving, 2 servings
Tropical Fish Sushi Set - 600 gold/serving, 24 servings
Seahorse Udon - 600 gold/serving, 9 servings
Seahorse Skewers - 102 gold/serving, 2 servings
The restaurant opens. mxmtoon comes in, sits down and orders the Chirashi Sushi which has the Green Sea Urchin she collected herself. Dave personally delivers the dish to her...
...
mxmtoon tell us the Chirashi Sushi was delicious and has the exact flavour she was looking for. In return, now that she's energised, she would like to perform for us. So Dave suggests that she perform at the Farm after the restaurant closes for the day.

It is the morning dive of 3rd November (Thursday), and we head straight to Mima's Restaurant in the Sea People Village to get the bonus modifier from eating her Agar Dumpling which "increases (Dave's) movement speed by 8%". This cost us 10 Bei.
Next, we speak to Gumo to check up on our Seaweed Farm, which has grown nicely into "Adult" Seaweed and Seagrapes. We harvest 5 Seaweed and Seagrapes, which is very little harvest for the amount of time invested...
...So we drop by Kazhin's Seed Shop to Upgrade Seeds. When upgraded, Level 2 Seagrape Seeds give 30% extra harvest with a little investment of 30 Bei. It sounded good to us, so we bought in. Except, upgrading actually takes time to research, so the current seeds sold is still Level 1. We buy 2 bags of Seagrape Seeds and plant them at the Seaweed Farm.
We swing by the Game Parlour to do some Seahorse Racing, taking part in the Solo A-Rank Normal 100cm Race first. We enter a Zebra Seahorse with Max Speed of 79. We easily win the race with a timing of 17.88 secs, netting ourselves 120 Bei.
Next, we enter the Team A-Rank Normal 400cm race with 4 Seahorses - Crowned Seahorse, White Seahorse, Spiny Seahorse and Tiger-Tail Seahorse. The White Seahorse is under the weather and our worst performing team member with a cap on its skills at 50, but he is the rarest seahorse with Rank 6. We still win the race with a timing of 73.25 secs, winning ourselves 240 Bei.
We used the Sea People Mirror to teleport to the Sea People Record Chamber. From there, we exit and proceeded to explore the Shallows when we noticed that we have the Seaweed Biome again! Since we have the Enhanced Hush Dart II equipped, we used it to put to sleep a number of the Seaweed Biome fish, including the Sheepshead.
We tried to tranquillise the Stingray, but it seems my current level of Hush Dart is not able to put it to sleep. So we had to harpoon and kill it at a 2-star.
We encountered 2 swarms of Striped Catfish at 2 different points while exploring. The first time, we encountered the swarm on its own, which was okay because we had the Baseball Bat equipped as a Melee Weapon. The bat quickly made short work of all the attacking Striped Catfish, and we collected lots of 1-star carcasses.
The 2nd time however, took us by surprise. We were already fighting a Whitetip Reefshark and a Marlin together, when in comes a swarm of Striped Catfish! Needless to say, Dave had a tough time juggling between swatting the attacking Catfish swarm with the bat, and focusing on taking down the Marlin and the Reefshark. But in the end, we managed to kill all 3 groups of enemies. Oh, did we mention there was a hidden Moray Eel lurking in the background, ready to pounce if we got too close?
For Dive No. 75, we broke the record for Number of Fishes Caught - 106 - thanks to the Striped Catfish bonanza (47 pieces of Meat)!
Just as we surface for the afternoon, a call comes in from Otto, who tells us that the vegetable crops we planted 2 days ago are ready to be harvested...

...Continued from afternoon dive at the Sea People Village on 2nd November (Wednesday):
At the Seaweed Farm, we spy something growing in the background near where the dugong pulling cart is... It's our growing Seaweed and Seagrape Sprouts! Gumo has been taking care of them in our absence, but it seems they still need some time to grow fully before we can harvest...
We head back to the Game Parlour for some Seahorse Races - this time we enter the Solo B-Rank Combined 100cm Race with a Spiny Seahorse that is very average in its stats. However, we still won the race with a timing of 26.37secs!
Next, we entered the Team B-Rank Combined 400cm Race with a team of Zebra Seahorse, Crowned Seahorse, Long-Snouted Seahorse and Tiger-Tail Seahorse. With Speed stats that outpaced the rest, we won with a timing of 94.75secs!
We made our ascent from the Sea People Village through the Blue Hole Depths, stopping by the Underwater Lake again, which is now filled with various deep-sea fish, jellyfish, a Frilled Shark and a Rhinochimaeridae. We tranquillise and Salvage Droned the latter two.
On Dive No. 73, we catch a rare White Seahorse, which is Rank 6. We will be registering it on our next visit to the Seahorse Races.
While we did not break any records on this dive, we collected 2 Comb Jelly Electric Organs and a Giant Trevally Fin, key Weapon Ingredients for crafting upgraded weapons for Duff's Weapon Shop.
Our Staff Dispatch Results came back with a lot of Curry Blocks, Turmeric and Soy Sauce, in preparation for Curry Party night.
We receive our FarmNow report update, and it looks like our Rice Paddy is done expanding and Otto has sown 8 new Rice Seeds that are growing in our expanded Rice Paddy!
In today's play-through, we unlocked the achievement "Dumplings in the Water" for seeing Mima's Restaurant open.
