Sendđ© to meet my museâs mother!
Grace had certainly... Heard a lot about Simon Blackquill. She had avidly watched the trials her âsonâ had participated in and seen how the two had worked together, and had heard some things about Blackquill from Bobby before he had disappeared. Before a stranger with her sonâs face avoided meeting her and her husband too much. After Bobby was declared dead, there was nothing to talk to Blackquill about, so they had never met.
(She suspected it had been him leaving unmarked flowers on Bobbyâs grave.)
With her illness and the shock of finding Bobby alive, she hadnât quite been able to bring herself to watch the trials anymore or meet with the complicated man her son was now so close to. But she had accepted Bobbyâs request for them to finally meet.
She smiled, eye to eye with Blackquill, hair pulled back into a bun and makeup carefully done. Her problems were her own. âWell, itâs nice to finally meet you, Mr. Blackquill.â
