When I first moved to the UK in 1980 this was the closest town to where we lived. Guildford has seen a lot of changes over the years. The original Friary became a shopping center which I still find bizarre. The high street is cobble stoned and the storefronts still retain some of it’s original charm. There are a lot of new additions and shops have come and gone but I still have to visit it when I am there as it holds a myriad of memories for me.
