Soraâs mood was just another wave on the beach. Those familiar emotions crashed into Vanitas, stronger than anyone due to the chains that bound their hearts. The Keybladeâs Hero was worried about his presence and Vanitasâs lip quirked up beneath the mask.
âHmph. Does it matter?â Vanitas snorts, crossing his arms across his chest. His existence was tied to both Sora and Ventus, he was their eternal shadow and they were the light that shaped him. He was made for them the same way that they were made for him.
This was how Vanitas justified his continued existence, anyway. Not that he intended to share that with Sora. Heâd already explained to him exactly what their connection was. He wasnât fond of repeating himself.
Vanitas turns his head toward Sora and the boyâs face reflected back at him off the dome of his helmet. There was one feeling from Sora that Vanitas felt himself resonating with, however. The curiosity.
Just who was this boy who had defined Vanitas with his image? He knewâor thought he knewâwho Ventus was. But Vanitas wasnât made from Soraâs heart the same way he was from that cowardâs.
âYou got a problem with that?â He asked, uncrossing his arms and widening his stance. The challenge in his voice is unmistakable.

x. @guidingkey continued from HERE.
There was so much JOY that radiated off from his life - long friend , even from all the way up the stairs . While he would [ [ n e v e r ] ] admit it out loud , it was refreshing to know that that aspect of Sora had never changed . The silverette's eyes followed Sora down the stairs until he landed in front of him , drawing a small laugh out of Riku that only seemed to come for Sora .
" -- It'll be a nice change . "
[ [ F i n a l l y ] ] the two of them will be going on an adventure rather than it being to save someone . Hopefully , it will be worth it . It's a change that they both need .
" . . . Maybe we'll go to worlds neither of us have been to . "
@guidingkey liked for a small starter
"SORA!" The young Queen waved enthusiastically upon seeing the familiar figure approaching. "It's been a while! Haven't seen you since you helped my sister and I last time."
"How've you been? Not getting into anymore trouble I hope.", Anna chuckled softly.
@guidingkey sent: " what am i supposed to do with these? "
"WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY'RE FOR? They're stirrups, dude!" She says with a small laugh and a friendly smile. A week and a half had passed since their first encounter. Sora, though somewhat secretive about his origins, had revealed that he barely knew how to ride, let alone interacted with monsters in a positive light. This didn't come as a shocker to Mari's posse, though it did leave some of them wondering how he had lasted this long without getting hurt or eaten. Mari supposed then, that it was a good thing they found him just when his luck had run out.
Streak was a new addition. Just a few days ago, Avinia had acknowledged just how much Mari's group was struggling in the snow, and figured they would benefit from being lended a monster that was familiar with the environment. The tobi-kadachi had gone riderless for years . . . but remarkably, he took to Mari and Sora like they were old friends.
They'd been staying in Kuan since then. Mari had been in and out of town helping make the finishing touches on one of the windmills, while Ena stayed behind eking out information on Ol Dede's whereabouts. In this moment of respite, Mari decided that now was a better time than ever to teach Sora to ride . . . at least so he wasn't clinging for life the next time he chose to tag along.
For some reason, however, Mari insisted that he leave her to handle Ratha. Almost as if a lingering distrust had grown . . .
So, Streak it was! Now shifting slightly under Sora's weight as the other teen inspected the saddle. "When you've been riding for so long, depending on your balance you can go without em. I usually do. But, you're a beginner so having a foothold's probably for the best. You see the saddle horns?" She points to the two large horns on either side of the saddle head, curved conveniently like handles on a door. "Putting pressure on them helps direct a monstie and tell them where you want to go."
