I also got the suggestion that it was from his Howard Stern interview. The interview has timestamps for each topic, and the segment of him talking about dating in the spotlight isn't under what they marked as "dating life" in the timestamps.

So if anyone else knows where this is buried in the Stern interview, please send me the timestamp!

For clarity, it's a segment where H talks about going out with someone while being famous, and, if I remember correctly, he specifically references going in restaurants through the back to avoid being seen etc. And how he'd 'protect' his relationship from the public for as long as possible. (I think this was it...I don't remember much else, as I read/watched it nearly 2 years ago).
