Hi! It’s been harsh with college and a few family health issues. 

Gladly, things have gotten way better now. The comic will be restarting this month <3 

Patreon will reactivate in a few hours too! You just cought me preparing an update with the news.  

I couldn’t be more happy that there is a lot of people who contacted me and have been waiting for my comic to continue, I have been wanting to continue it so badly so it truly means a lot to me.

Let the Summer music festivities begin!!  We are so excited to share with you this year’s incredible line up with Grand Teton Music Festival.  Amazing new artists join us in Jackson Hole to showcase their talents all summer long.

Having been to Yellowstone National Park before, I was not overly concerned with making the most memorable experience here. What I found this time though, was that when I’m not looking for beauty and wonder, those feelings will still find me here. 

Like when I needed to scarf down a dehydrated meal, I just happened to see a little trail heading off my parking spot:

So then I thought I was wrong about “not needing to see the same stuff.” Because when I thought about it, I could have spent a month here and not seen any of the same stuff. Off to Old Faithful.

Of course I stayed long enough to see it erupt twice, because the crowds were large and I do not mind having time to read in beautiful places. But my favorite part was after the second eruption, when the crowds were gone and it was just me and the geyser. It was doing its thing, and me mine.

That’s when I was once again reminded of the virtues of reliability. Where would I be without a stable support system of friends, family, a vehicle, and good roads? 

A big push for me that day was also to see the Teton mountain range. A tiny part of my college career was waiting outside Martin’s office for my oboe lesson, reed making class, or other oboe-related function. He had a posted for the “Grand Teton Music Festival” hanging up, and I was always in awe of the shapes and sizes of the mountains.

Well, I made it.

And for the middle of summer, it was hardly crowded. (At eight in the morning. I would later find out that one must hike four miles to take a proper bath in any lake without being trampled by tourists and toddlers.)

So after enjoying some incredible scenery and topography, I made a beeline for the music festival itself. 

At seven miles per hour.

Needless to say I appreciated the acknowledgment that music is still in my bones. This trip has taught me much about myself, but some of the biggest lessons have been simple reminders of what I already knew. 

And I took exactly zero pictures.
