âSoâŚâ the hero purred. They scratched three perfect lines into the villainâs forearm, their lips close to the villainâs ear. ââŚwhen are you going to regret having kidnapped me?â
The villain squeezed their eyes shut and waved with their hand, as if to shoo the hero again.
âI didnât know youâd be this annoying, thatâs for sure,â they said. They stared back at their phone and continued with the scrolling.
âYou can also let me goâŚâ the hero suggested. They grabbed the villainâs forearm and squeezed until the villain was staring at them. ââŚI mean, itâs kind of a waste of my talents. To sit here. Do nothing.â
âYouâre always welcome to watch TV,â the villain said.
âThatâs not exactly what I want.â They let their gaze crawl down the villain. âYou know, you brought me here so, technically, youâre responsible for entertaining me.â
âIs that so?â They let their eyes drop to their phone again.
âYeah. I get bored easily.â
âI can tell.â
âCome on. Letâs spar.â
âNot right now,â the villain said.
âThen tell me what you did today.â
âBurned down an orphanage and ran over three cute puppies,â the villain answered bluntly.
âYouâre not funny.â The hero stopped leaning over the villain and stood up fully. They crossed their arms in front of their chest, their eyes narrowing.
It had been over a week and the hero was beginning to feel like this was getting somewhat ridiculous. On day one, they had tried to punch through the walls. On day two, they had used their powers. On day three, they had started questioning the villain.
To no avail - the villain wasnât talking. Attacking the villain wasnât going to lead anywhere, so, the hero was trying everything they could to get some information out of their nemesis.
Why on earth were they stuck in an apartment that was certainly not the villainâs with the villain coming and going whenever they pleased?
What was going on?
The hero took the villainâs phone.
âThereâs no SIM card in there,â the villain said. They looked unimpressed. âIn case you were planning on contacting anyone.â
âTalk to me, baby,â the hero said suddenly. They put the phone aside and sat down on the villainâs lap. Their hands found the villainâs neck easily and although their nemesis tried to look annoyed, they didnât push the hero away. âTalk to me. Donât be shy.â
âYouâre really testing my limits here,â the villain whispered.
âIs that so?â The hero leaned forward and they could see how very quickly, the villain started to look very shy. The hero loved it when the villain let their guard down in front of them. It was very sweet, very rare too. They were so grumpy and mysterious all the time. It was lovely. âI just want a few answers, pet.â
âWhat do you want to know?â The villain put their hands on the heroâs lower back, but rolled with their eyes at the same time.
âWhy am I here?â Their gaze dropped to the villainâs lips.
âBecause I kidnapped you.â Still no answers, then.
âDo you want me all to yourself, is that it?â the hero asked. They let their thumb follow the curve of the villainâs bottom lip. God, for how long had they been tiptoeing around each other?
It was probably a year by now.
Their other hand played with the hem of the villainâs shirt and their knuckles brushed against their enemyâs naked abs accidentally.
The villain took in a deep breath.
âI mean, Iâm not complaining, youâre so very good to me. But thereâs a lot of helpless civilians out there that need my help.â
âDo you think I care about civilians?â The villain asked. They leaned their head back against the armchair.
âNo, but I think your greed should be a bit obvious to them. After all, civilians donât like sharing their heroes with villains,â the hero said. âAnd you know what happens when the people get upsetâŚâ
Admittedly, they were getting greedy themselves. They wanted their nemesis. They really did. Maybe more than getting answers.
They kissed their jaw. Was the villain a good lover? Were they passionate? Or shy?
âDamn you,â the villain whispered.
The hero let their fingers go over the otherâs stomach, exploring carefully. Whenever they could feel scar tissue, they took their time to follow it.
âWhat?â They kissed the villainâs temple next. Then their cheekbone. They exchanged looks, both clearly longing for the enemy.
This was only happening once. The hero couldnât allow themselves to do this regularly.
âIs it a possessive thing?â
The villain let out a pained sigh. Their fingers dug into the heroâs lower back softly.
âItâs a a-lot-of-people-want-to-kill-you-thing,â they said, defeated almost. They looked away.
âAww, you care about me.â Their gaze jumped back to the hero. Both of them were aware how much the villain was blushing.
âI donât. Now, kiss me properly.â
âSay please,â the hero said.
âKiss me, please.â
âThere we go.â The hero leaned in and realised quickly that this was definitely not happening only once.
