From our procon sesh on turning a video into alpha using our first group motion experiments. Because we had too many frames, we only got this far. It occurred to me that I could have just used this for my rat tag piece instead of redrawing them all in illustrator, if I'd have known how. Damn...

I'm not really a dancer. Improvisational dance?? Really outside my comfort zone. Still I had a couple friends who said I had to try the Friday night Group Motion dance workshop in Philadelphia for a First. My friend Loraine Ballard Morrill went with me. The music is live. You pay 20 dollars to move creatively with the group that's been meeting like this for over 40 years!   Sorry, no video of me. Loraine thought she got some, but must not have turned on the camera. We discuss our adventure. I eventually got into it. I swayed, I skipped, I aped other dancers. I don't know what I did but at some point I started to trust I was safe and enjoyed.  The group talks after the dance. A very interesting night. I met such nice warm people who guided and welcomed me into their dance. All I can say is I left happy and relaxed and felt good about the world.
