I may not call any officers immoral, untrustworthy, lying slime, even if I'm right.
Groddil
No highland willed from kin deceased, Or quests for castles, vague, unknown, For Ungatt Trunn the Fearsome Beast Will carve a fortune of his own! Find the mountain, slay its lord, Put his creature to the sword! When stars fall from the sky, Red the blood flows ‘neath the sun, Then let mother’s wail and cry, These are the days of Ungatt Trunn! Hark, no bird sings in the air! The earth is shaking everywhere! His reign of terror has begun! For these are the days of Ungatt Trunn!
-Prophecy of Ungatt Trunn, Lord Brocktree
Another scene I envisioned from Lord Brocktree. Ungatt Trunn is displaying his satisfaction with the western shores he wants to conquer. Groddil (drawn a bit more accurately this time?) grimaces and clenches his fist after the wildcat sent some scathing remarks his way. Meanwhile the calm Grand Fragorl looks like she’s about to drop a rap album.
I’m happy with this! This is my first drawing with a new tablet after decided to retire my first ever one (a Wacom Graphire4) after nine years. It’s still taking some getting used to, but this turned out better than I expected. :]
Another scene from Lord Brocktree, this time Ungatt Trunn (I love that name) getting information from Groddil. I changed Ungatt’s design slightly for this, and improvised on Groddil. I also tried something a bit different with the coloring too. Aside from wishing I did some things different with the workflow/background, and a better job with posing, I like how this came out.
I apologize ahead of time if any of these illustrations have any inaccuracies. This is one of those cases where I can’t look up too much info on the characters I’m reading about, lest I get spoiled.

Who else has read the Redwall books by Brain Jacques? Well, this is Groddil the silver fox woobie from the book Brockhall, one of my favorite characters. This was a dabble in colored pencils, done as coverart for a little lyric I wrote up in honor of the little old fox.
