Designing a My Cart Screen for a Grocery Delivery Mobile App That Reduces Second Thoughts
The cart screen is where users silently ask questions.
Did I choose the right items?
Is the price still fair?
Are there hidden fees?
While designing this grocery delivery app My Cart screen, my focus was answering those questions before they’re even asked. Each product card clearly shows the image, price per unit, quantity, and subtotal. This reduces mental effort and eliminates the need for recalculation.
Pricing transparency was intentional. Delivery fees and discounts are clearly separated so users understand exactly how the total is formed. Instead of hiding costs, the design highlights them to build trust.
The checkout button includes the final total amount. This simple detail reinforces confidence at the most critical moment. Quantity controls are minimal and close to each item, allowing fast edits without visual clutter.
The biggest challenge was fitting all essential information into one screen without overwhelming users. Hierarchy, spacing, and restraint were key to maintaining clarity.
Great checkout UX doesn’t convince users to buy. It reassures them they already made the right choice.
