Daisy had volunteered to go ghost hunting with Luigi. After all, it would be safer to go in a pair, and Luigi had seemed visibly relieved to not be going alone. He had turned around for a second to check something out while Daisy went up to the attic.

“Hey, Weeg! Come check out this painting!” That... didn’t sound good. Daisy was known to jump into things without thinking, but... a painting shouldn’t be a danger. Right? “It’s kinda weird.. I’m gonna look closer.”

“Be-a careful, Daze!” A tinkling laugh was her only response to him, the princess seemingly unworried about what could happen in a haunted house. Luigi climbed into the attic to go see what this painting was, nervously checking around him the entire time.

A familiar giggle suddenly sounded, followed by a sharp scream that caused Luigi to simply jump up to the top of the ladder; there was King Boo, and Daisy now inside the painting.
