the theme today...the gang goes to conventions...anime conventions. furry conventions mentioned too. this one is self indulgent as fuck :3 pics attached are the cosplays I think they'd do <3

Nick - He usually just "ghosts" conventions for a day unless it's one several friends go to or that has a good room party scene, really just goes to cons for the room parties or socializing but will ALWAYS get drunk and attend the karaoke panel as well as after dark panels. Has a few simple but very well made cosplays, all commissions, and usually popular characters because he loves the attention. Attempts a Tony Soprano cosplay and gets upset he doesn't get recognized. He gets away with not wearing wigs or doing makeup because of his face card <3 Always hosts a chill room party with a small group of friends and brings a traveling wet bar for mixing drinks. Gets invited to lots of other room parties and gets drunk as hell, even blacks out once and gets in a fist fight before getting arrested in full cosplay. (There's always one at every con!) Doesn't face any repercussions from this. One year the local con shares the space with a furry con and he gets invited to some furry room parties, where he promptly gets black out drunk again but this time wakes up in his hotel room with no recollection of the night before. He's forever curious about fur cons after that but takes that to the grave.

As if this isn't already self indulgent enough, I also like to imagine him having a Berserk Guts cosplay....I haven't seen it I just like to imagine him in Guts armor ever since a youtuber animated him in it (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)

Coach - The BEST con dad ever, actually. He's not into anything geeky himself but he's just happy to see his kids having a good time, and does enjoy seeing some of the big, professional cosplays. Gets super excited about Star Wars cosplays. Takes lots of pictures of his family and would do a family group cosplay so long as he didn't have to wear a wig or makeup or anything crazy. He gets told he should cosplay Chef from South Park regularly, which always pisses him off lol. He always gets a lot of snacks from the dealers dens (those little cheesecake breads? to die for). He's the type to notice if someones getting harassed and always steps in if needed. I love families cosplayin together, it's so precious ToT

Ellis - Wouldn't go out of his way to go to a convention at first but if a friend invited him he would LOVE it, probably wears something that gets him mistaken for some generic video game man but he loves the attention because beautiful people gas him up and ask for photos with him. He's more into gaming but loves a few of the classic animes like DBZ and Naruto, wouldn't cosplay them though. He loves cosplays that he can get into roleplaying as and plays the part when people recognize him. Not really into making anything for his cosplays so he either does something simple or a friend would have to make it for him. Also does meme cosplays if friends do it with him. He gets invited to a lot of room parties and ends up sloppy drunk most of the time, but never blacks out. He does usually wake up on the floor though, not always in his own hotel room lol. Ellis is not a furry but has tried on a fursuit head and paws and loved it.

Rochelle - Only went to a con in the first place to help a friend at their artist alley booth but actually had a great time and starts going to her local con yearly with a small friend group. Not really into gaming outside of Sims but she has a few animes that she loves, as well as loving Studio Ghibli movies, Kiki's Delivery Service is her favorite. Doesn't go out of her way to cosplay but will join in on group cosplays if it's easy enough to put together. She's a kuromi girlie and usually wears that cosplay at least once during any con she goes to. All her friends do a Resident Evil cosplay group one year and she's sold on doing Ada Wong cosplay because of the dress and absolutely loves it. I think she would enjoy J-Fashion and eventually wears those sorts of outfits to cons, like the last pic. She deserves more fun alt vibes <3

Zoey - Has been going to cons since she was a teenager and always goes with a big friend group. Definitely the kind of group fitting too many people in one hotel room, boiling hot dogs and ramen in the hotel coffee pot to save money as broke college kids, but they still have a great time. She goes all out with cosplays when she's got the time, has even won a couple of awards in cosplays contests. She hates the sewing part and prefers focusing on making cool props, foam armor or doing SFX makeup. Queen of con crunch, will finish a whole set of foam armor the night before the con. Only cosplays stuff from horror or video games unless the group cosplays an anime. Someone in the group makes vlogs of their con shenanigans and posts them to Youtube even though they only get like 100 views.

Louis- Has been going to cons the longest out of anyone, his parents were also huge nerds who loved going to cons so he got an early start. They still go even later in life as well as volunteering behind the scenes in various positions. They did the CUTEST family cosplays. They've even been to some of the bigger cons like Dragoncon and NYCC. He remembers the days of yaoi paddles and The Game. Keeps all of his con badges and lanyards as momentos, his parents have scrapbooks filled with con books, photos and the like. He has a HUGE social circle in the con scene due to being in it so long and also because he's helped a lot of people with cosplays at the con. He keeps a cosplay repair kit on him at all times. He volunteers at local cons and works on the IT team, also probably hosts some panels or photoshoots about whatever series he's fixated on at the time. He ALWAYS runs a Valve photoshoot and cosplays either Demoman or Gordon Freeman. Also great at making cosplays and leans towards ones where he can incorporate LEDs, Coding, or some kind of engineering component. Either goes all out with something intricate, or he'll pick something simple but go hard on the details and/or have some cool prop to go with it. I'm imaging all of this around the later 2000s like in game BUT if he made it to 2011 he would take his 3DS everywhere and check streetpass religiously. He's THE con mom friend, reminds everyone to drink water and enforces the 5-3-1 rule on his friend group. Brings the best snacks, electrolyte drinks and hangover aliments. He drinks at cons but never over does it, usually ends up taking care of someone who did though lol. Also he's a furry but in a chill low key way, he has a pitbull fursona and a full suit. Only goes to the local furcon and meets and has a pretty small furry friend group. Very rarely talks about it outside of said friend group.

His fursuit looks something like this but it's brindle and white with floppy, uncropped ears, probably just uses Louie or Lou as his furry name :3 He is one of the infamous "suspiciously wealthy" furries lol. Tips artists handsomely when he commissions art.

Francis - Exclusively goes for the late night scene at local cons because a friend of his got him into it, probably just sneaks in or steals a badge lol. Raves, room parties, after dark panels, cosplay burlesque show, hanging out and shootin shit in the lobby. Probably gets almost black out drunk, high as hell or a third sillier thing. Also probably who Nick got in the fist fight with (and he whooped Nicks ass </3) He lovessss to cosplay the big buff men of horror, people love it and he gets stopped for pictures all the time. He also likes fucking with people while in cosplay lol. Genuinely terrifying if he catches you along in a hallway. He was a scare actor in high school so he's a little too good at scaring folks lol.
