I just randomly found out that Melissa Etheridge did a cover of a song by Greenwheel (“Breathe”), which is a band I liked a lot in the early 2000s. They’re kind of obscure so I was surprised by that… and then I read that Greenwheel’s record label sold the song to Mellissa Etheridge without telling them and they didn’t know about it until they heard it on the radio wtf.

Today’s Song Saturday exists purely to answer the question: Where did I get the name for my Fallout 4 Sole Survivor!Victor verse that I talked about on Thursday? Yeah, I blame this entirely on my very first Fallout game being Fallout Shelter, which prompted the “Tell me where to find shelter” lines from the chorus here to replay in my head constantly. No other connection to Victor, Alice, or Valice beyond that! Just a song I like from the “music from and inspired by Spider-Man” CD!

You know what other band had potential? Greenwheel. Fuck they had so much potential and they had mild success. Then they became Go Van Gogh and then they faded away. Like, this is one of my favorite songs they did.
