Hey guys! How's it going?๐. . So for this Friday's review, we have an unusual whisky for me, it's a blended malt scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker. I say unusual because ... well if you follow me regularly, you would know that I'm not a huge blended whisky fan. That being said, a lot of my friends have recommended this to me, so now I've listened and I'm glad I did, this is a very good blended malt scotch whisky :). The Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 years is a blend that includes a variety of whiskies aged for a minimum of 15 years, we have Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore and Caol Ila. The blend gives expressiveness to this complex whisky, which recently returned to the market, after a few years of absence. Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Years is a great expression, that blend can be enjoyed neat or with a splash of water, to reveal the depth of the flavors and can create an excellent base for sophisticated cocktails. . Here is my review:. . Nose: Rich and intense notes of espresso, oak, sea salt, mint and dark chocolate accents. . Palate: Cereal flavors, freshly roasted coffee beans, nuts and smoky influences. . Finish: Long, with woody tones, honey accents and spices. . Color: Gold, with amber sparkles. . Although I'm not a huge fan of Johnnie Walker and not a huge fan of blends, I must admit this one is not too shabby. I still think it lacks that kick I search for in a good whisky, but for the price, I think it;s pretty good. . What do you guys think about this one? Do you like whisky blends? Do you like Johnnie Walker whisky? . Chers guys and have a great summer weekend!๐ฅโจ๐ฅโ๏ธโ๐ป๏ธ. . P.S: With which one of these cigars should I pair this with?๐. . #scottishwhisky #whisky #johnniewalker #johnniewalkerwhisky #greenlabel #whiskey #scotch #firewaterxo #scotchwhisky #whiskyporn #whiskygram #whiskybar #bottle #drinks #scotland #friday #weekend #weekendvibes #cigar #bolivarcigars #cubancigar #hupmanncigars #botl #sotl #cigarlover #cigarporn #whiskyparty #cheers #romania #cluj (at Cluj-Napoca) https://www.instagram.com/p/CD4IvhrnhNX/?igshid=1s703ylcw8wzx

"Victory" ๐๐ Collaboration with @greenlabel
Looking for an easy way to fight food waste & help solve climate change? Celeb chef Tim Collishaw (of NYC's Fosso) has a suggestion: Buy dog meat that does goodโspecifically, Elwood's! We're THRILLED to share an @eatthisnotthat! guest post about this collaboration.
๐ฅฉ๐๐พ https://www.elwooddogmeat.com/post/celeb-chef-invests-in-dog-meat-farm
For folks in a hurry, here's an excerpt:
------------------------------------
"It is my preferred meat," Collishaw said during a press event introducing the dog meat products on Tuesday at his restaurant Fosso in New York City.
Collishaw is an investor and advisor to Elwood's Organic Dog Meat, a pioneering dog meat farm that harvests picnic dog breeds which are now raised on a diet of what the company calls "surplus grocery food." That is, food waste: unwanted supermarket proteins and produce that usually wind up in a landfill. The second generation farm claims that each of its dogs saves four pounds of otherwise wasted food and reduces three pounds of greenhouse gasses as a result.
You might be asking, hey, what's the impact of food waste emissions in the US compared to, say, chickens? But that's a complicated math question (it's 170 million metric tons of carbon emissions vs. 129 billion [with a B] metric tons of carbon emissions) and math is for other people to discuss, but definitely not something this article about climate change and delicious dog meat should cover. Really, who has the time for that?
Speaking of time, back to Collishaw:
"Sure," Collishaw scoffed, "you could switch to more affordable and healthier whole food, plant-based alternatives but who has time to learn how to cook?"
