am i surprised at these rankings? not at all
sam, dean & cas would be the biggest thrift store rats hear me out
the bros have always thrift shopped since they were kids they love that theres new stuff in every town they go to
and they feel completely at home in the mildewy fluorescent-lit caves of thrift stores
flannels. $2 winchester fashion staples
vintage tees are always comfier, dean can attest
dean buys cassettes and vinyls for his growing collection
cas picks up new mugs every time they go!!! souvenir mugs, with cool patterns or art prints, mugs with animals on them
cas discovers his love of windbreakers, he has like 7 now
sam & dean usually wanna pop in and out but cas takes his sweet ass time combing through the endless disorganized aisles
but he always comes out with the best stuff so dean has to take cas with him every time he goes
also cas shops from every section so he also owns some womens sweaters
“cas that looks like something a grandma would wear” “good. grandmothers tend to be beautiful and very wise”
10/5 - 10/12
i went to see sam smith and it was the greatest day of my life :----)
i cried at hhis concert because he was talkin g about his experiences and inspirations and shit behind the album and about how he has never been in a relationship where he truly felt loved back nd this was an album he wished he had as a kid because it s sad but so personal and it’s an album for anyone who is lonely to assure that theyre not alone and i cried when he told us abo ut that
i think im gaining weight
had a great great day today (10/12) with my theatre family at school
we r all seriously a family like we have no boundaries and can be like brothers nd sisters even tho there is frequent drama
also am i genderfluid ? maybe
sometimes wish i could snap my fingers & b in a male body like if i could do that i probably would. like why cant i snap my fingers nd have a different body for whatever gender i feel like thst day
where do i start with greek mythology? like, what do i read/look at to learn as much as possible?
I’m really not the right person to ask about this, because basically all my knowledge comes from a year of Classical Studies I took in high school. You could try asking mythaelogy, mytholgy, or facinaoris.
I’d suggest starting with some of the basic source texts, the stories that the Ancient Greeks themselves told and heard. Get a copy with a good index of gods, people and creatures in the back (including aliases), or you might be confused. I recommend:
Theogony by Hesiod describes the creation of the world and the gods.
Metamorphoses by Ovid is actually about the Roman mythology (there are some differences, as I explained here), but it’s a pretty classic work that I personally recommend.
The Iliad and The Odyssey by Homer are also widely accepted as some of the great classics. I didn’t personally enjoy The Odyssey, but it’s definitely a centerpiece in ancient literature, and has affected story-telling up until our time. You can also read The Song of Achilles, a re-writing of The Iliad with focus on Achilles’ and Patroclus’ relationship by a Classics teacher.
The tragedies of Euripides (including Medea) are also fundamental.
You could also look into some of the ancient philosophers to get a better understanding of the world surrounding these stories, and read up on the history.
Most of these are available for free online (copyright wasn’t invented back in the B.C.s, lucky you!)
Here is a recommended reading list for Greek Mythology
Here is a Greek Mythology introduction
If someone reading this has any recommendations/links to other guides, send an ask and I’ll add it in the post (:
