Last night I dreamed that I was at my great-aunt's and great-uncle's house and they spoke to me because I had forgotten what their voices sounded like and they didn't want me to forget. And as I was listening I was like "your voices are so familiar to me and so unique, how could I ever forget them". Idk it felt like the were saying hi to me from another place.

He made it to Heaven this morning. Now he's with his beloved wife again, my grandma and my grandpa who have all been waiting for him. Rest in peace Uncle E ♥

My mom just called. My greatuncle's health is getting worse. He's 96 and they don't expect him to make it much longer. Which was to be expected but still. He's so important to me and he's the last one standing from my grandparent's generation. But I hope he won't have to suffer. And he'll be reunited with his wife again who he misses so dearly and loves so dearly. After all, they had spent more than 70 years together.

Wenn dir dein 95-jähriger Großonkel, nach überstandener Corona-Infektion und Lungenentzündung inklusive Aufenthalt im Krankenhaus, der seit einem Jahr im Pflegeheim lebt, nachdem seine Frau nach über 70 gemeinsamen Jahren gestorben ist, sagt, dass er jeden Tag hofft, endlich sterben zu können, bricht dir das das Herz. Gleichzeitig wünsche ich ihm aber auch, dass sein Wunsch erfüllt wird und er friedlich einschlafen darf.
