Days 12 - 15: Another Catchup Post
Thursday 03/04/14 - Day 12 - Trying to cheer my girlfriend up when she suffers something negative in her life. Chin up and laugh at someone who looks more stupid than yourself I say HAHAHA
Friday 04/04/14 - Day 13 - Date night in Newtown! Watched The Wind Rises and enjoyed an Oreo Pie from the Pie Tin mmmmmmm. Had a whole lot of fun and really enjoyed the hipster atmosphere haha.
BONUS: also, we looked like dumbasses carrying around something called an Xpander, which you get for free to increase the size of a slushee at 7-11... can bring it in again to use if we wanted to, but honestly whyyyy hahah. Here's some pics of what it looked like so you can imagine me walking down the road and the stares we got.
Saturday 05/04/14 - Day 14 - Did the Spartan Race. Last time I did anything of the sort was the 21km Tough Mudder, which we finished in about 2.5 hours. Spartan Race, though only 7km, took us over 3 hours to finish, due to the ferocity of the obstacles and the sheer energy-draining mud. Check out the photos on facebook of our team of 7 guys and 1 really brave girl, but more importantly, after the race we went to maccas. And I got 2 burgers, medium chips, medium drink and 10 mcbites. Other people also got extra patties, 20 nuggets and you get the picture. But I love how you feel like you deserve to splash out on the sheer amount of carbs and fat, when you've just finished something as daunting as SP. I got a lovely medal, tshirt and headband as well =D
Sunday 06/04/14 - Day 15 - So while we both have a series of midsem exams and assignments due, and were at home studying respectively, my girlfriend and myself found a groupon online for what we thought was $449 twinshare, flights included, for 4 nights in the Gold Coast in really nice accommodation. Problem was the dates that they had limited us to really only one period of time, and this would cut into my clerkships application period. After negotiating and sorting that out, with minimal fuss, we realised that sadly it was too good to be true, and not only would we be staying in a 2-bedroom apartment (so with another 2 strangers), it was also $440 per person instead of for two. Still a good deal in my mind but not in Carolyn's mind haha, so we passed on this great deal after a long period of talking about it.
But we were still really keen on the holiday idea, so we checked out a 2-night stay in the Entrance. Turns out Carolyn found a Victorian Entrance instead of the one in NSW, so that was out as well. Unfortunately we'll probably be staying in Sydney for the foreseeable future judging by our failure to lock in anything this time. This is the picture i sent her to show her how far away Lakes Entrance is from Sydney haha, and with Melbourne as a guide. It was over 7 hours drive away...... which I'm perfectly happy to do LOL but Carolyn sadly isn't. If she's reading this, I'm still keen baby, I don't mind going on an awesome roadtrip with you!!!!!
Anyways, that's it for today HAHA. I'll try and post up pics on the actual day from now on instead of at random intervals :P Until next time!~
