Lately I have been looking at life so differently. I suppose that comes with age. Now you can see from the top of the mountain and you can see there is an end in site. As opposed to youth when there was no end in site. I can see in all the areas where I got exactly what I wanted and how those happenings gave me exactly what they wanted to give me in return. I see all the pieces that fit so perfectly in place around the edges and slowly how they filled in to the center. As opposed to early youth I would just stare at a crazy shaped piece and ask why. I had a dream of a beautiful Elk, he was golden and shimmered in the sun, he led me to the top of this mountain. He gave me his teeth and told me a story about something I knew but had yet to learn. He showed me all the things that I gave away & things I exchanged for things I do not use or really didn’t want. Some things were ‘given’ to me but came with an invisible price tag I didn’t agree to pay. He showed me an ancestor I believe who has been trying to tell me something my whole life. I finally know what I am suppose to do and her message is clear. The Elk teaches us to never be in a rush because this breeds worry and anxiety. There is no race or contest. Only yourself. Elks can run without stopping for a long time but they know when it’s time to stop and look around. They know how to use their energy in the best way possible and leave the rest behind.
