Newly hired and FAR more anxious than she let on, she stood in front of her executive’s office. Mori-san had told her that he would be unaffected by her curse, that his ability would nullify her own, but he failed to elaborate as to why that is - it was not his place to tell, but rather Nakahara-san’s if he so wished. Admittedly, she was reassured that there was at least one person out there who wouldn’t die simply because she existed, and got too close, but that did little to quell her nervousness.
So there she stood, heart hammering so fast she could feel the beat rhythmically thumping, C R A W L I N G up her neck until her head was pounding and the world seemed to melt away. Time slowed down as she pondered about the specifics of what this new job would bring, what her boss would be like, upon many many other things, her thoughts moving too fast for her to accurately keep up with. Still, she managed to pry a delicate and pale doll-like hand from the vice grip it had on the strap of her messenger bag, scarred knuckles gently rapping at the office door before her; she dared not open the door herself, her hand merely returning to its former place after alerting him of her presence.
