Dominque Does Dating
So I’m a 30 something y/o single, “young-professional.” I have been doing some version of online/artificial dating for 6 + years and also do the IRL dating when the opportunity presents itself. When I first started really doing the “dating” thing after college,I would always update my grandma of my escapades. She was entertained and enjoyed my stories but always reminded me of her dating record, 35 first dates after her late husband passed. I do wish she was still here so I could proudly tell her I have been on over 100 first dates (not counting but that number even seems too conservative). I have been on all the apps and dating sites. I have met the good, the bad and the ugly. I have been courted, complimented, hit on, asked out, propositioned, and also verbally assaulted. It has been a wild ride but at the same time I truly believe I will look back at this experience fondly because I have quite literally seen it all. My friends have always said I could “write a book” about some of these interactions and “dates. This blog will document some of my experiences, provide dating “tips,” share of the epiphanies i have had through this process, and (hopefully interesting) stream of consciousness. Enjoy!
