Send me ♕ to bump into... (accepting); answer for @graengrass
Chattering, laughter and music filled the mansion’s ballroom when the wizarding world’s social elite was gathered to enjoy their evening. Theodore leaned against a table and he looked at the mass of people as he was trying to find someone who he knew, but the masks and the clothes made it difficult to recognize anyone from the distance. He wanted to find someone of his own age group, because talking with the older generation was getting repetitive — all of them asked the same questions again and again.
Nott saw from the corner of his eye that one of those people were coming closer to him again, and he quickly drank the rest of his water and disappeared to the crowd. If he had to answer one more time if there was someone special in his life, he would lose his mind. He was a teenager, and he didn’t care if, in their youth, they were already in a serious relationship which was most likely an arranged marriage, so he really wouldn’t count that being with someone special.
With a few 'excuse me' Theodore made his way through the mass of people, trying to avoid bumping into anyone, and when he finally saw the door of the ballroom, he thought he made it without hurting anyone. Maybe he celebrated too soon, as at the moment he was stepping out of the room, a person appeared in front of him. He didn’t manage to stop himself before he bumped into her, but he managed to take a grip of her shoulders, so she wouldn’t fall. “Are you okay?” he asked quickly and he took a closer look at the brunette girl, who he was still holding.
