Don't Give The Devil an Opening in Your Life
JOHN 14:30 I WILL NOT TALK WITH YOU MUCH MORE, FOR THE PRINCE (Evil genius, ruler) OF THE WORLD IS COMING. AND HE HAS NO CLAIM ON ME. (He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has not power over Me.) This verse teaches the importance of NOT SPEAKING rashly out of our emotions. Jesus told His disciples He would be leaving the world very soon. The suffering He was about to endure was unimaginable, but Jesus was determined not to speak words that would give Satan an opportunity to hinder the plan of God. Nothing takes more self-control than not speaking negatively in a negative situation. The mouth wants to spurt out everything it thinks and feels. But in times like that, you need to go deeper, beyond your emotions, and began to think and speak out of your RENEWED spirit. There are important times to agree with God and SAY what His Word says. DO NOT talk in ways that give the devil power.
Waiting...
PLEASE READ: PSALM 130 Day after day for years Harry shared with the Lord his concern for his son-in-law John who had turned away from God. But then Harry died. A few months later, John turned back to God. When his mother-in-law Marsha told him that Harry had been praying for him every day, John replied, "I waited too long." But Marsha joyfully shared: "The Lord is still answering the prayers Harry prayed during his earthly life." Harry's story is an encouragement to us who pray and wait. He continued "steadfastly in prayer" and waited patiently (Rom. 12:12) The author of Psalm 130 experienced waiting in prayer. He said, "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits." He found hope in God because he knew that "with the Lord there is MERCY, and with Him is ABUNDANT redemption." Author Samuel Enyia wrote about God's timing: "God does not depend on our time. Our time is chronological and linear...BUT GOD...is timeless. He will act at the fullness of His time. Our prayer...may not necessarily rush God into action, but...places us before Him in fellowship." We may not see the results of our prayers immediately - but God hears us - When we pray we must believe we receive what we prayed for once we say AMEN!! God has His way of getting us to do what He desires - fellowship with Him in prayer, waiting for the answer in the fullness of HIS TIME - is just one way to humble us. God may delay our request, but He will NEVER disappoint our trust. Pray on - Cease not to pray and should the answer tarry...WAIT. God will come through and He can NEVER come too late.
The Link To Life
PLEASE READ: Titus 3:1-11 By the time he was 16, Morris Frank (1908-1980) had lost his sight in both eyes. Several years later, he traveled to Switzerland where he met Buddy, the canine who would help to inspire Frank's involvement with the Seeing Eye Guide-Dog School. With Buddy leading the way, Frank learned to navigate busy sidewalks and intersections. Describing the freedom his guide provided, Frank said, "It was glorious; just Buddy and a leather strap, linking me to life." Buddy gave Frank a NEW kind of access to the world around him. God's Holy Spirit gives us access to ABUNDANT spiritual life in Christ. When we accept Christ as Lord, God washes our sins away and renews us "by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior" (Titus 3:5-6). Once we know Christ, the Holy Spirit helps us experience God's love (Rom. 5:5), understand God's Word (John 14:26), pray (Rom. 8:26), and abound in hope (Rom. 15:13). Today, as you think about your relationship with God, remember that the Spirit is your guide to life in Christ (Rom. 8:14).
Experiencing Inner Peace

Jesus promised to give us His peace (John 14:27)—the kind that enabled Him to sleep through a fierce storm. Without it, we'd be like the disciples, who felt helpless and afraid. With it, we will experience inner calmness in the midst of life's turmoil.
To access the peace of the Lord, we must meet certain conditions. The first requirement is to receive Jesus as our personal Savior. Before salvation, we were by nature opposed to God. But our redemption changed that. The Bible says we now have peace with Him (Rom. 5:10) and are members of His family, instead of His enemies. Fear of death—a major reason that we lack peace—evaporates as we comprehend the glorious truth that we will spend eternity in heaven with Him.
Believing in God's sovereignty is a second condition for having a tranquil heart. In this troubled world, personal safety is a major concern. To combat fear, we must trust that God controls all things. Knowing that He is in charge will protect us from anxiety and give us peace.
The third thing we must do is understand that God knows our needs and has promised to meet each one (Phil. 4:19). He is a loving Father who delights in giving good gifts to His children. We may not receive all we want, but He'll give us whatever is necessary to fulfill His purpose for us.
Once we have received Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit will remind us that our future is secure, and our loving, sovereign God will see to it that we have everything we need.

Pay Attention
NOW IS THE TIME...To Pay Attention Ephesians 5:14 Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light. Wake up to the everyday miracle of life, and don't miss the messages from God hidden in common things. Every moment offers a wonderful opportunity to see God in the details, and you can begin right here and now. Living lessons of abundance hide in the heart of a simple rose. Bugs and bees and butterflies busy themselves in God's glorious creation. A friend's smile or phone call lightens your day. The stars remind you of the vastness of the universe. A cool glass of water refreshes, an image of spiritual refreshments. As children of God - we have the power to see the good in this wonderful world no matter its darkness. God made it all with Wisdom....He made the earth overflow with His wonderful creations which includes you and I. Wake to a new you, new favor, new possibilities, new beginnings, new blessings every morning - giving all the praise and thanks to our Lord. This is the day the Lord has made - we will rejoice and be glad in it..
What if God's Will Doesn't Make Sense?
At times we may struggle with directions we receive from the Lord. We question whether they are from Him because they . . .
Clash with our personal desires. The mother of James and John asked that her sons sit beside Jesus in heaven. The Lord said no to her selfish ambition and called her sons to a life of humble service to others (Matthew 20:20–28).
Conflict with our human reasoning. Some of the disciples expected Jesus to rule as the long-prophesied King. When He told them He was going to be killed by the religious leaders, His words didn’t line up with their thinking about the future.
Challenge our faith. Christ told the disciples that He would be resurrected on the third day (Matthew 16:21). Peter and the others had to accept Jesus’ words even though many people of the day—including some religious leaders—did not believe in the resurrection of the body (Matthew 22:23).
God’s direction may call for courage as well. We see this clearly in Joshua’s life. The Lord appointed him as the leader who would take Israel into the Promised Land (Josh. 1:1-6). Our heavenly Father may ask us to become a leader in our local church, to participate in a missions trip, or to serve those who are hard to love. He wants us to step forward bravely and obey.
Following God shouldn’t involve guesswork. Scripture is a good source for confirming divine direction, as our Father won’t give any guidance that is contrary to biblical principles. Receiving godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer can also reassure us that we've heard correctly (Proverbs 15:22).
Trust the Lord and His direction - do not be blindsided by your rebellious ways!!
Why Do We Need To Develop Patience?
On any given day, we may encounter frustrating people and situations, such as the slow driver, mischievous child, or uncooperative co-worker. We may feel like lashing out, but God wants us to stay calm and be patient with everyone (1 Thessalonians 5:14).
Why should we want to develop patience?
Our calling. Though once alienated from the Lord, we have been made part of His family through Jesus’ shed blood. As God’s children, we’re called to live a life worthy of Him—one that is characterized by humility, gentleness, and patience (Ephesians 4:1–3).
Biblical teaching. Scripture tells us to be tolerant of one another, bearing each other’s burdens, and responding with kindness.
Jesus’ example. The Lord demonstrated patience toward Peter’s impetuous actions, the crowd’s demands, and the leaders’ false accusations. We are to cultivate an attitude of composure.
Healthy relationships. Our impatience can hurt others and close off dialog. Responding calmly gives room for the other person to confess wrongdoing, explain his attitude, and make changes.
God’s approval. The apostle Paul wrote that we are to be joyful in hope and patient in affliction (Romans 12:12 niv). When we quietly endure our suffering, we find favor with the Lord (1 Peter 2:20).
The Holy Spirit is conforming us to Christ’s image. As we cooperate with Him, He will develop in us the ability to persevere—without becoming agitated—when waiting or provoked. A calm demeanor in times of delay or adversity can be a powerful witness to the transforming work of God.
Being patient is not one of my best qualities and I know the Lord is working with me in that area - He has put me in situations where I must be patient or else. He knows what we need at all times to stay in His grace. He knows what is keeping us from receiving all of His Promises and Blessings. He can and will fix us - if we allow Him to do so. We first must recognize that we need help in certain areas. None of us are perfect. We can be in denial - fooling ourselves...but we can't fool God - He knows more about us than we know about our selves.. Remember He is the Beginning and the End. Growth and Maturity comes from acknowledging who you really are....face your shortcomings.
So if you have problems in the area of "patience" like I do, allow God to help you - to Correct you - and to Discipline you...he doesn't need our permission to do any of those things, but it gives Him great joy when we go to Him and ask for help.
