My pet peeve when watching shows/movies (especially after having become a mom myself) is when someone gives birth and then when the baby is shown, it's like a clearly 9+ months old or something.
Like... ma'am I hope for your sake you didn't just have to birth that!
#and like I know it's probably nearly impossible to find newborn 'actors'#and it definitely should be impossible#(but then again who is giving their 9mo to 'act' in a show/movie?! this should not be a thing at all)#but still? use a doll or whatever? CGI the baby? they could probably make really lifelike newborn looking robots foe this purpose#a baby that is less than a week old is not/does not:#75cm tall#grab things#put random things in their mouth#crawl#talk#have teeth (except for a veeeeery few)#they do not even make the typical baby 'talking' sounds (except for crying)#you know what newborns do?#sleep#and occasionally drink and cry#anyway... yeah I had to get this off my chest haha#they also can't lift up their own head I forgot to say that#they should wear a beanie at least the first few days#yes even inside#also their eyes are barely open even if they don't sleep#yes I'm done now I think
