My hot take is that all home washrooms should have properly placed grab bars as a standard regardless of who the occupants are and what their physical ability is. Doesn’t need to be a full set as they can get pretty individualised but at least the one horizontal and one vertical or, even better, a single angled one beside the toilet, and a horizontal one somewhere in the shower (preferably a side wall).
Some benefits:
reduce joint strain
makeshift drying racks
your drunk friend will more likely vomit in the toilet
marginally more graceful shower sex
can add to the aesthetic if you put some effort into your design choice
tie off for a small pet trying to escape a bath
sleepy you won’t slip in the shower
one less thing to think about if you become temporarily or permanently disabled
solution when your leg falls asleep in the toilet
shower singing prop
shower breakdown prop
That covered radiator--with otherwise totally useless grab bar above it*--may be one part of the accessibility fail in that bathroom.
But, it does have its uses!
That's an excellent drying spot for things like that washrag Mr. C brought, or smallish handwash items.
(Some undies only took a few hours to get totally dry yesterday, with one flip over. I was running low enough to wash a pair in the sink. Now we'll see how long that soaked heavy terry cloth takes, without laying it directly on the radiator cover!)
Also one benefit of the thermostat in here evidently being set to 28-30C/82-86F, with the bathroom staying even hotter a lot of the time! Just the ambient heat in there should help things dry faster, even without the direct radiant heat under them.

* That definitely looks like a very badly placed/oriented grab bar, rather than a towel rod. My guess? They were supposed to install some in there, to call the room "accessible". So, somebody chose to do it Like That. 😒
