Fellow actors!! I've been thinking about the importance of relationships in our business. And when I say "relationships", I'm not talking about 'networking' or 'knowing the right people'. I'm talking about real, honest relationships with other actors and fellow humans. Networking is one thing. Really great and super important. But real relationships is another. I'm talking about friendship. I'm talking about love. And trust. Nobody can doubt how essential it is to experience real love and acceptance as a person in any place of the world and in any business. But, sometimes, we actors get so preoccupied with networking, that we forget how much we actually need to have real friends. Or to have a partner that loves and accepts us for who we are. Or how grateful we should be for having a family that stands by us when our days are soooo rainy..... An actor -or any human- that experiences deep, trusting and genuine relationships is a healthy, happy person that can bring more to their art and live a happy life. Isn't that what we want in the first place??...... So, be grateful for all the relationships you have and if you don't have any, go get them.
