This is the intro to video kid from the Philadelphia stop on the dark winter tour 🖤 I have many videos of them and lord of the lost but tumblr says I can only add one *womp*

I would like to preface this by stating that I am specifically referring to the Tumblr community labeled “Goth Community,” rather than all Tumblr goths as a whole. Additionally, most users in this community are perfectly nice and supportive, but some are unfortunately not.

I am making this post only to inform my fellow goths and the members of the Goth Community exactly how the moderators of this community behave.

I am not making this post to call anyone out. I am not making this post to get anyone in trouble. I have cropped and censored the usernames of everyone involved as I have no desire to see anyone receive hate over this.

I am a Trad Goth who has been around for quite a while, inspite of my pastel-themed main blog. I do believe myself entitled to like both things that are dark and scary as well as Hello Kitty.

I am also a fan of the Phantom of the Opera, as I’m sure many goths are. Thus, when I saw a post mentioning Phantom of the Opera in the Goth Community I was a bit confused at first glance about what community it was being made in and opted to make a joke regarding my own confusion.

The original poster (who is a mod) immediately got defensive, despite the fact I do not believe I said anything offensive, and demanded I explain my joke. Thus, I attempted to explain, but my explanation was not acceptable enough to this mod.

Unfortunately, I do not have more screenshots of my furthering attempts to explain what was intended to be a friendly joke, as this mod deleted all my comments and removed me from the community.

That comment regarding removal is hilariously ironic being that they are calling me childish, when at no point had I attempted to be mean to this person. However, they decided to make fun of my blog theme for no reason. Of course, this mod is actually quite young, and I do not feel comfortable having them be called out.

I wish only for other users to be aware this is the sort of hyper-aggressive and toxic mentality the moderator of this community has.
